Bear and Ray are both hard at work in our board and train and day school programs, and their morning session's focus was leash skills and reactivity.
For both of these dogs, the goal isn’t just “don’t react.”
It’s learning how to move through the world calmly, confidently, and with clear expectations.
That means: • Building loose-leash walking skills
• Practicing neutrality around distractions
• Learning how to recover faster when something does catch their attention
• Reinforcing calm decision-making instead of big reactions
Progress with reactivity doesn’t come from avoiding triggers or correcting behavior after the fact - it comes from structured practice, consistency, and clear communication.
Bear and Ray are putting in that work, step by step, and it shows.
Proud of these two and the focus they’re bringing to each session.
