So many great dogs are at risk of euthanasia, simply because they are unable to cope with shelter life. If 100 people put their hands up to foster while dogs wait, we can reduce the number of euthanasias and help more dogs who have been abandoned, neglected and relinquished. Consider fostering a shelter dog

Never let a lack of limb fool you!
Bobo might be missing a leg but that just makes him lighter for running fast. He’s great with everyone, loves to exercise and is a gentle Sweet boy looking for a home.

Our first full day, Sasha is doing great. She doesn’t want her decompression (shes still getting in), she wants cuddles and exploring.

Soon we will be able to slowly introduce our dogs, she has had lots of time to sniff them out around our house and yard. She is very dog friendly and loves to play so hopefully that will go well!

Shes home! 🏠
We have a strict set of guidelines to follow to allow her to settle in. Im just not sure that she knows that 🫠

But this is what she wanted so we are just allowing her to soak in some love, while also giving her her own space and establishing a routine. She is a cuddly girl, but we are respecting her boundaries and allowing her to make the approaching rules

This will be our second foster dog! We helped Hershey get back on his feet with his health and now it’s Sasha’s turn. She had been displaying increasing behavioral issues after her kennel mate was adopted, and the shelter felt she may be irredeemable. With the help of another Volunteer advocating, and after a good assessment through the shelter with a trainer, we are bringing her home with a training plan in , to help her become the dog she was meant to be.

Terrible, sad news. Our girl Cookie is back at the shelter ☹️ Sometimes these things happen, but we need to understand that a shelter dog and co-habituating dogs need more than a week or two to get comfortable.

3 days to decompress/destress
3 weeks to settle in/develop routine
3 months to fully adapt

With education and sharing information, i hope to help people and pets integrate and adapt, so great dogs like Cookie get the right opportunities when transitioning.
