Lately there’s been a lot of emotion, opinions, and debate in the horse community surrounding different therapy and recovery products, and honestly I think sometimes we can get so caught up in proving our point that we forget the biggest goal of all… the horse 💕
At the end of the day, every horse is different. What works amazing for one horse may do absolutely nothing for another, and that’s okay. Some horses respond great to ice therapy, some love magnetic products, some benefit from body work, massage, PEMF, poultice, wraps, stretching, supplements, etc. There is always going to be different opinions, different experiences, and different things that work for different horses.
Right now with Cash, ice therapy has been something he really seems to enjoy and benefit from during this stage of getting him comfortable and feeling his best again 🩵 Is it a magical fix for everything? No. But it’s one piece of the puzzle that’s helping HIM right now, and that’s what matters most to me.
I think the horse world could use a little more understanding sometimes. We’re all just trying our best to learn, grow, and help our horses feel their best physically & mentally. Instead of tearing each other apart over opinions, maybe we can learn from each other while still keeping the horse at the center of the conversation ✨
I’m still learning what works best for Cash every single day, and I honestly love hearing what has helped other people’s horses too! What are some therapy/recovery products or routines your horses seem to really benefit from? 👀💕
