Oooohhh boy! We have more really exciting egg news.

Randall and Buttercup, both Ambilobe Panther chameleons, had 21 eggs apparently 10/13 (2 days ago). We caught her digging. And she was supposed to be 2 weeks behind our other Ambilobe pair. So…we quickly put up a privacy curtain and moved a camera to her. But apparently we were too late.

One hole. One afternoon. Suspiciously covered back in. We dug for a while and found nothing. Kept our eye on her 10/14. Tried the hole again. Nothing on camera. This evening 10/15, she hissed at Melanie.

And so Mel dug. Deeper. Further sideways. And there they were. Buttercup was a first time natural born pro!

Job well (and VERY easily) accomplished for Buttercup.

The other two Powerpuff Girls are Nosy Be and we’re waiting for a pair of nosy males to finish getting to adulthood.

Aaannnddd then of course our new experimental lines with 3 male Furcifer Petteri chameleons and 3 females. (We have three Antimena as well, but only males so far.) They are soooo cute. If you think you’ll like our carpet chameleons (Furcifer lateralis) from a Frank Payne lineage, you will LOVE these oddball Petteri of neon green with nose appendages and belly stripes and red casques. We’ll show some more of this whole new venture Bill Strand and his guests on Tuesday podcasts put us on to with the Antimena. Shared a few more pics of them too, but they do NOT do them justice in person.

Randall came from Cham. Co. A few years ago and Buttercup came from Elite Exotics Buffalo this spring. We so grateful for both awesome breeders. These babies are going to be strong Green Body Blue Bars for sure!

Unz-arium shared with us 2 Furcifer Petteri and 3 Furcifer Antimena. We are so honored! And we’re beyond ecstatic to be a part of developing these species in the U.S. and to continue working with Nicholas in the future. They are WAY more cute in person too. ❤️

Hey followers!

Those of you who have been talking with us about our plans for Summer 2027 Southern Utah County Reptile Expo, we are holding a kickoff meeting 11/11 through a Microsoft Teams meeting. We’d sure like you there!

If you did not get our invite email or message please let me know through PM or respond here and we’ll send you the info.

My fault if we missed you. I collected emails from only a few. Then we made a change in our domain host and had troubles with email system. So, I’ve already found a few I dropped the ball with. Just let us know and we’ll get you hooked up with the link.

(We virtually met two awesome breeders of some rare species we were committing to taking on to add to the chameleon community as our specialty over the next decade on MorphMarket and made some purchases. 😁. Getting setup for Halloween this weekend and Brynja helped Melanie on the team.

Brynja is a really sweetheart. And she loves to take food from you. But she was a rescue of sorts and has tumors on her face/skull. We can’t ethically breed her but we love having her—she’s always had a sort of sweet/grumpy/toothless granny look about her for some reason.

1&2 - Phoebe and Thebe - “Tiger” twins

3 - Bluey - what we believe is a Male Ambanja we got from CB Reptiles as an experiment (to see if they’re as bad as they say). Got AN animal. Container was labeled “male Amb.” But NOT the Nosy Be Male we ordered. We’ll keep him though—we have ambanja lines to do. …just won’t buy from CB ever again—they do not respond to concerns.

4&5 - Mr. Freeze - male Nosy Be for our NB line. He was perched like the others but as soon as he saw me coming with a camera he tried to hide.

Just a few fun pics from today.

1) Raja - Tiger male Ambilobe showing decidedly more colorful array than orange body black bars when mad.
2) Buttercup - immediately after coupling with Randall (both Ambilobe)
3) Chahoua egg #1 looking like it may be hatching in the near future.
4) Randall (Ambilobe male) showing his weird green body yellow bar “hey baby” colors immediately after first coupling, being rejected for a second coupling with head bobs, and having Buttercup removed from habitat. (She said no thank you on his second attempt and gave him the puff and the open mouth “I’m gonna eat you!” Response that second round.)

5 & 6) Jasmine, immediately before coupling session when her colors were: “why are you removing me from my new fancy habitat” and then calm colors when she had Raja’s eye.

Raja & Jasmine were purchased as mature panthers that exhibit bright oranges and blue bars that turn black creating “tigers”.

Neither displayed that too much during their session today (Raja had out the FULL display of colors) but you can see Jasmine’s ticked off colors and some cool greens on her casque and cheeks. Very lengthy coupling!

We have two more “tiger” females (twins in fact) to help us start a Tiger line of our own. We shall see what we get. Looking like between our panthers, carpets and our various geckos we may have as many as 200 animals available by the end of 2027.

Sealed up with reptile/animal safe clear, Melanie’s experimental background for a 18x18x36 is about to get installed!

Two of our panthers carry names from Aladdin and so to avoid Disney IP this represents the door to the cave of wonders from the stories.

This is made from 8 3D printed panels she designed herself and painted. It has a notch for the ridge of the paludarium seam and will be adhered with reptile safe silicon for “Jasmine”. We’re working on other decor items for the future.
