Ruby Rhod taking his daily requested trip around the house. (Such a weird Chameleon.)

Randall in the last shot coming out for silkworm snacks thanks to BeastMode Silks West. (We had to lure him a bit. So food motivated. We were actually weighing him because his cask continuously makes us think he’s too chubby despite cutting food some. But no. He’s a healthy 157 grams.)

Well, the first laying from our “rescued” veiled chameleon was 48 eggs.

…we might have over compensated on feeding as nervous first time grand parents.

She’s healthy and doing well after just about two weeks of digging and finally laying last night. (That time frame was the part that kept making us nervous.)

Haven’t posted about the IPMA Critters for a hot moment as we’re very busy this week with preschool and kindergarten graduations, planting trees, and repairing the old Yukon for a road trip in June.

So, we wish those of you in the US a happy Memorial Day.

Today’s a BIG day!

Joanna (our one veiled chameleon…for now) is FINALLY laying her first clutch of eggs! (Not fertilized but exciting making progress with our chameleons that we started out with as juveniles.)

A really big thanks to Cham. Co. For talking with us and the encouragement at the May Wasatch Reptiles, and for Neptune the Chameleon for helping to coach Shaunalie the past couple years on husbandry, and to Living Art by Frank Payne for helping coach indirectly as well by talking us through the carpet chameleon husbandry for the two carpets we got from him this year.

All animals are doing very well we think. And we think we’ve even got our Jackson’s temperatures sorted in our hot desert environment.

As an extra treat, we got an action shot of one of Elite Exotics Buffalo girls he sent us this week: Bubbles taking her shot with hand feeding!

We picked up our new girls from Elite Exotics Buffalo and are in love. Absolutely beautiful nosy bes and an ambilobe for our 2026 breeding plans. Currently in quarantine tanks but we’re excited to show off their bioactive terrariums in a few weeks so stay tuned!

Melanie made us a fun collage of getting “the Powerpuff Girls” from Elite Exotics Buffalo yesterday. Hopefully it looks alright for those of you on phones, but we’ll get our YouTube channel going quick here too and post it there.

Eric from Elite Exotics Buffalo provided us two new Nosy Be Panther Chameleons and an Ambilobe. We’re so excited. Had to do a temporary setup for a bit but they’re “home”, eating and seem happy. Check out his store on MorphMarket.

We received the three gorgeous girls from Elite Exotics Buffalo (Eric) today. Unfortunately due to a cracked habitat and a change of where we’re going to house them, we had to setup three smaller temporary habitats…on our kitchen tables!

But they’re “home” and appear to be happy. Already ate some crickets. Looking spectacular when they fire up.

Can’t say how happy we are to work with Eric and highly recommend Elite! He has a lot of very handsome boas, a python, a leopard gecko and one remaining Nosy Be Panther Chameleon. Go check him out on MorphMarket.

Experimenting with hanging time on our new tree stand in the office.

Ruby Rhod, who normally requests shoulder rides, isn’t quite sure what to make of it. We’ll have to try some others and see what they think.
