To My DS Mini Doodles Family & DS Dirty Paws Clients,
Hi everyone,
This is Annette, owner of DS Mini Doodles and DS Dirty Paws Grooming.
I’ve never written a post like this before, but I feel it’s important to let my DS Mini Doodles family and my DS Dirty Paws clients know what’s been going on and where I am right now.
It breaks my heart that I’ve had to temporarily close the doors to my grooming business. Grooming was something I never expected to fall in love with, but once I started, it quickly became one of my greatest passions. I truly miss every one of my clients—both the wonderful people and all of my furry grandbabies who came to see me. I miss the smiles, the conversations, and seeing your dogs leave looking and feeling their best.
At the same time, running DS Mini Doodles has become incredibly difficult. Because of my ACL tear, even simple tasks like going up and down the stairs and keeping up with my normal daily routine have become a challenge. When I first injured my knee, I was managing as best I could. Unfortunately, I recently re-injured it, and things have gotten much worse.
My ACL surgery is currently scheduled for September 1st, although with this recent setback, there’s a chance it could be moved to an earlier date. Right now, I’m spending most of my time resting because walking is painful, and I can’t stand for very long. It’s been physically exhausting and emotionally difficult.
DS Mini Doodles and DS Dirty Paws aren’t just businesses to me—they’re my babies, too. Being away from them has been incredibly hard. I miss caring for your dogs, giving them their spa days, and seeing their happy faces. I miss interacting with all of you more than words can say.
Recovery after surgery is expected to take six months or longer, so I’m trying to stay positive and focus on healing so I can return stronger than ever. Your patience, understanding, and support mean more to me than you know.
I also wanted to ask one small favor. I still have a few beautiful puppies who are now 9 weeks old. They’ve all been vet-checked, are healthy, and are ready to join their forever families. If you’ve been following my page, I would be so grateful if you could like, comment, and especially share my puppy posts. Every share helps more people see them, which not only helps me during this difficult time but, most importantly, helps these puppies find the loving homes they deserve.
Thank you for your patience with the grooming appointments I’ve had to postpone and reschedule. I’m truly sorry for any inconvenience this has caused. Please know that none of these decisions have been easy, and I appreciate every bit of kindness and understanding you’ve shown me.
I’ll continue to keep everyone updated on my surgery, recovery, and when I hope to reopen. If my surgery date changes, I’ll be sure to let everyone know.
From the bottom of my heart, thank you for your love, your support, your prayers, and for standing by me during this challenging time. I miss every single one of you, and I can’t wait until I’m healthy enough to get back to doing what I love.
With love and gratitude,
Annette
