A note to my active Pet Protection Advocacy Friends, Please Oppose Oklahoma House Bill 4335
REALLY? We're going to have to handle this atrocity — AGAIN? WHY? REALLY?! AGAIN?! WHY?!! Really? Yes! It's true! Puppy Mill / Puppy Stores could be moving in to Our State — Our Cities — Our Communities!
The major source for these stores which sell PUPPIES — IS PUPPY MILLS! Puppy Mills are large volume pet breeders who cannot possibly give proper care to each of the hundreds of pets they attempt to sell monthly!
You want to know MORE?
Call one of the many Pure Bred Breeders in your community who cherish each puppy in each litter they carefully produce — with great pride! Each one of these breeders has the knowledge to ensure that every puppy will receive individual care according to their needs — physical health and emotional wellbeing. When purchasing a pet from an Accredited Breeder, you can visit with the Sire and Dam and attest to the Breeder's combination of choice. Try asking for the Pet Breeder's contact information if you buy a pet from a Pet Store.
For further information — visit PET SMART — and ask them why they DON'T sell PUPPIES! Puppy Mill / Puppy Stores can charge huge prices for pets whose History — Is a Mystery!
AGAIN? — AGAIN?
We fought these PUPPY STORES — these "RETAIL ESTABLISHMENTS — SELLING TO THE PUBLIC" — a few years ago. Our Animal Advocates — all of the Rescue Organizations, Veterinarians, and State Political leaders — stood up for us, for which we are forever grateful! Are you aware of the number of people in our State who own a pet? 1.6 million homes have a pet in Oklahoma. Fifty percent of those people own a Dog!
WHY? — WHY? — WHY?
Do those who would allow PUPPY STORES in our State understand the consequences for the animals involved? The consequences for the families who purchase a Pet Store pet? I'm going to guess — THEY HAVEN'T RESEARCHED the consequences of their Constituents' feelings about a law which would create such a problem!
500 US Localities — Nine States — have Banned Pet Stores.
We won this battle for giving each pet correct breeding — toward a safe and healthy future — through the loving nature of all who helped.
We can do it again! Really? — Again? — Because...Together — WE Can!
