We are still searching for Mackenzie's rightful owner. Despite our efforts, no one has come forward to claim her at this time.

Mackenzie is currently safe and being cared for, but if her owner is out there, we encourage you to contact us as soon as possible. Please share this post to help us reach as many people as possible.

🌳 Please Check on Your Neighbors 🌳

This week, Animal A.I.D. of Mississippi was contacted by a man who was cutting grass for an elderly woman's property. While there, he discovered her beloved 16-year-old dog lying in the yard, unable to get up.

The dog had fallen into a shallow hole and, despite managing to get himself out, had been lying in the heat for approximately three days. The lawn care worker got him into the house and reached out for help.
When our volunteers arrived, we learned that his owner loved him deeply: she sat with him, brought him food and water, and had even tried to find help but was unsuccessful.

After carefully transporting him to the veterinarian, it became clear that his injuries were severe and that the kindest gift we could give him was a peaceful goodbye.

There are elderly neighbors, vulnerable adults, children, and pets all around us. Sometimes people are struggling quietly behind the trees, beyond the fence line, or behind a closed front door.
Please take a few minutes this week to check on your neighbors. A simple conversation, visit, or offer to help may make more difference than you realize. ❤️ Be the person who notices. ❤️ Be the person who checks. ❤️ Be the person who helps.

Daisy is a 5–6-month-old Heeler/Shepherd mix with a sweet personality and playful spirit. She is currently 29 pounds, and expected to reach 39–45 pounds when fully grown. Daisy is affectionate, athletic, curious, and gets along wonderfully with other dogs and children.

After being found abandoned, Daisy has thrived in foster care and grown into a happy, healthy puppy full of fun and energy. Her goofy, friendly nature and love for adventure make her a joy to be around.

Daisy is spayed, microchipped, fully vaccinated, and on heartworm prevention. If you're looking for a loving companion who will keep you laughing and shower you with affection, Daisy is ready to meet you! 🥰

After six weeks of intensive physical therapy and determination, we are thrilled to announce that Stella is now walking! Her progress has been nothing short of incredible, and we couldn't be happier to celebrate this milestone with her. ❤️

Stella is also fully potty trained and ready for a home of her own. She does well with other dogs after a little time to adjust and would thrive in a home with children over the age of 8. This resilient girl has worked so hard to get where she is today, and now she's ready for the next chapter of her journey—a loving forever family. 🐾✨
