🦷🐴 It’s dental day at BraveHearts!

Our herd got some very important TLC today — because healthy teeth are a HUGE part of keeping horses healthy, happy and comfortable! ❤️

So, what does it mean to “float” a horse’s teeth? A horse float is a specialized dental tool used to smooth down sharp edges and points that develop as horses’ teeth naturally wear. If those sharp edges aren’t addressed, they can make chewing painful and interfere with a horse’s ability to properly eat and digest their food.

Regular dental care helps our horses:
🌾 Chew their food properly
💪 Maintain good nutrition and weight
❤️ Stay comfortable
🐴 Live happier, healthier lives

For a rescue and sanctuary like BraveHearts, routine dental care is especially important because every horse deserves the opportunity to feel their absolute best.

Louise is settling beautifully into her forever home, and somehow, she already found exactly what every equine deserves: a place to belong and a best friend to share it with.

Louise and Coco were instant friends, and seeing them together makes our hearts so happy. 🐴💕 From rescue to forever, this is why we do what we do.

TICKETS ARE LIVE! Join us for Neigh-maste: Yoga with Draft Horses at BraveHearts on Saturday, Oct. 17th at 9 a.m. 🧘‍♀️🐴

WHAT TO EXPECT: Attendees will enjoy 45 minutes of an instructor-led yoga session by Megan Adams surrounded by our gentle giants, followed by a tour to meet our 80+ rescued draft horses and donkeys, light bites and refreshments, vendors, and more!

COST: $40 - Every ticket sold directly benefits our nonprofit and helps us with our lifesaving mission to rescue draft horses, provide rehabilitation, and rehome them - giving them a second chance!

Nothing makes us happier than seeing our former rescues continue to grow and thrive in their forever homes. 🤎🐴

We recently received the sweetest update on Bo, formerly Dirk, and his family has plenty to be proud of!

During Bo’s first few farrier visits, he needed the stocks to safely have his back feet done. But at his most recent appointment? He was PERFECT! 👏 He calmly held up his back feet, no stocks needed, while treats were delivered “like a conveyor belt” throughout the process. 😂🥕🍎

It may seem like a small milestone, but moments like this can represent so much: growing trust, confidence, patience, and the security of knowing he’s safe and loved.

His family says it best: “We are all proud of him! What a good boy.” And we couldn’t agree more. 🥹❤️

Way to go, Bo! Keep making your family proud, big guy!

Not everyone can be in LA… someone’s gotta hold it down in Paris, KY. 🐴 And by someone, we mean a bunch of rescued draft horses (and Benny the mule 😊) living their best second-chance life. Honestly? Iconic.
