Meet Mavis

I noticed her sitting quietly in her kennel, trying to catch a snooze. She was curled up in the corner, nestled in. When I approached her she came to the front of the kennel to greet me.

She was so excited to get outside. She exudes happiness and has this playful loving spirit to her. I don’t know what happened to her puppies but I do know she is ready for someone to love and care for her.

Meet Luna 💕 ( )

Despite being the cutest American Bulldog mix with an underbite, shes been bounced around more times than one dog ever should.

She first came to the shelter in 2020. She was adopted shortly there after but was returned 4 years later. She spent another year living in the shelter, to be adopted again a year later in 2025. However, in February of 2026, the people that adopted her from the Miami Dade shelter, moved out and left her behind. Now Luna finds herself waiting at the shelter, yet again.

Dogs are sentient beings. They thrive on routine and are fiercely loyal to their owners. Luna is no exception. She has known more heartache and confusion than one dog ever should.

Despite it all, she remains incredibly gentle, calm, affectionate and eager to please. Surely there has to be someone out there who will love her as much as she’ll love you. Someone who can give her a permanent home and treat her as part of their family.
