In honor of Livie surviving a month I did a little side by side/before and after. Jk, that’s a Halloween decoration, but she was basically that close to death so it’s not an entirely wrong example of her “before”.

Livie is a little terror, she thinks her hissing does anything and now I just laugh at her. What are you even hissing for?? Now that I know her well enough to know she won’t bite me, she gets aggressively smooched when she tries to scare me. Try again sister, you will be loved.

We are still working on the growling/attacking of the spoon when she gets her wet food. That isn’t appropriate behavior, regardless of her past, so while I’m being patient, it’s still a problem we need to work on. We are trying to make small amounts over and over again, into positive interactions and not savage growling attacks of the utensils. Uneventful snacks means more snacks! If we are naughty we wait for a meal. She’s stopped attacking the churu so that’s a positive step!

Keep this little tuna salad in your thoughts. We have had no weight gain after deworming and how we have a funky j***y b***y. Little more concerning with being a Manx there may be more problems I can’t see. This is the Manx guy who is my fav little monster. I haven’t even had a second to filter through name suggestions but he needed a vet visit this am so I named him Monster. I’ll go through and officially name the remaining 2 with suggestions from my earlier post. Some of the ones I saw, I love!

Speaking of butts, Livies butt is looking wonderful! She has been steadily gaining so now we need to ram up the urgent care for little Monster.

Monster needs weight gain - that’s the biggest priority now. He’s eating well so he will be happy to hear if the meal plan he’s just been prescribed. 🤣

Livie says “the people have some bad lucks in this house. The humans have been sick, the dog has been to the ER vet, and a kid was puking … what the heck is happening”.

I too would like to know what the heck is happening. Spent my birthday (yesterday) sleeping all day. Spent Friday into Saturday at the ER vet getting an Addisons diagnosis for my youngest dog 🥹.

Tough week for us in this house. But Livie is still improving. Her bum is slowly but surely getting better by the day! Her nose is also slowly to heal but she’s very pushy with her nose so she keeps irritating it.

She knows the routine here which is sweet. She goes into her little house every day, for breakfast, she still loves to jump up and drink out of the raised dog bowls, and she is starting to play with the cats. She still doesn’t like to snuggle, she just may not be a snuggley gal in her lifetime and that’s okay. But do I wish she would curl up on my chest in a little circle and snuggle me, yes I do.

I’ll forever brag about Brianne! She’s such an amazing part of our rescue and why we can take in large amounts of kittens! We are so so thankful for her! 🌟

These little Halloween Freaks need names.

Want to help me name them? Every name suggestion has to be its own comment. I think I can put it in a “choose a winner” that way? I’m not sure.

But think Halloween, Harvesty, November, fall - and, there’s 4 of them… I just haven’t caught the 4th yet so I’ll need 4 names.

One has zero tail at all - which is called a “rumpy” manx. I think Ghost is a fun name for him. He’s the friendliest guy of the three. The other smaller girl is also warming up well. They’re meowing when I walk in the room by which is great news. The largest girl is the most stand offish, but they’re going be just fine and will not be going back outside. They just need some time and attention!

Livies b***y needs your thoughts and prayers.

We may have a vet visit in our future but we are hoping to be able to avoid it. I’m really grateful I don’t have to scramble to figure out how I can pay for it. She’s in good spirits and acting feisty as ever when I try and soak her bum and clean her up every day so that’s good news!

Her poops themselves look wonderful, but I may take a f***l down for her as well just to be sure we don’t need more dewormer.

YOU HAVE GOT TO BE KIDDING ME! A baby orange is still here at Livies site! 😭 I didn’t see him for days while I was trapping, I was sure he was gone!

I’ll have to manually trap him with a string and a water bottle (or a drop trap), which will be a nightmare because these cats are hard to be now that I’ve been feeding, so this could take a lot of time.

But at least he will be fixed and I’ll feel better that he wasn’t left!! He is terrified of humans and unfortunately, I don’t have the time or space to attempt to tame kittens. I already have littles from my newest site off Wood Ave that are very nervous that I’m hoping one day they’ll realize I’m awesome.

Sweetie girl Livie is back! She’s certainly bigger! Rounder haha. She hates having to go in her princess house when we leave the house and keeps scraping her little nose scab off. Her b***y also seems a little irritated so I’m keeping a close eye on it. She’s had 2 rounds of dewormer and just got a tapeworm dewormer today. The vet initially wanted her to be larger before giving tapeworm dewormer as long as she got the other “blood sucking worms” out of here. Today, she got the dewormer and hated it. She’s funny. Anyway, let the Livie posts commence!

These two are pending adoption with their foster home 😍

Zombie and Warewolf are the two kitties that I coordinated getting to safety while I was out of town.

They’re ultra sweet and presumed dumped on someone’s property in Graham. Such a bad time for black cats to be dumped, right before Halloween. We hate to see a black cat tossed out or up for grabs for free around Halloween because of the stigma that black cats have.

They’ll be altered, vetted, and hopefully available for meet and greets and adoptions by the end of the month. We will be very picky and intentional with where these babies go. They’re about 9-10 weeks and very friendly.

While I was gone, I got several messages for help. I facilitated two kittens going into foster while I was out of town and today, on my way home, checked on another set of kittens who were very shy but able to be handled. Unfortunately, it’s another case of “guy moved out and left his cat and she’s had at least a litter a year”.

Mama cat won’t come near me, but does eat at the neighbors. I think she will be an easy one to trap. She’s got a bob tail and this kitten pictures has zero tail. I’d rather a bob than zero tail because a Manx can have Manx probs, but hoping that isn’t the case for this little one. There’s 3 more kittens I need to grab, I can get them by hand. Mama will need to be trapped but if she can be handled, I’ll keep her with her babies a tad longer. If she’s miserable and hates being contained, I’ll put her right back. It’s too stressful to contain a mama if she’s feral and that feels more inhumane than separating her from her babies a few weeks early. If they have molars, they can eat food and they will be fine.

Maybe we can fundraise to name them/fix them? I do have some funds left over from Livie’s fundraising to fix the newest grey bobtail mama, but don’t want to spend too much more that so I can be sure to have enough for Livie’s bloodwork when she’s older. I normally don’t do bloodwork but I want to a) be mindful of her history, and b) do what we fundraised for! She’s doing so well aside from rubbing her little nose raw on her Barbie princess dream house trying to push her way out when she has to be contained.

Neighbors say there’s a “big cat problem, so maybe if we can fundraise enough, we can get all of the cats in this neighborhood fixed. Maybe even city…. That’s a crazy goal but how incredible would that be.

These kittens are similar in age, maybe in two weeks after everyone’s quarantined and free of parasites and fleas, they can meet?
