🏡 Today is moving day for these two precious babies! After an uncertain beginning, our sweet calico girl 🎀 and handsome orange tabby boy 🧡 are safe and starting a new chapter with Avenue Katz Rescue. ❤️

Now comes the fun part… **THEY NEED RESCUE NAMES!** 😻

💕 Should we choose cute, cuddly names or give these babies human names? Think *Peaches & Pumpkin* or *Mabel & Henry*! The possibilities are endless! I like Poppy and Pumpkin!

Yesterday was a heartbreaking day for Avenue Katz Rescue. We rushed all four of Maine C**n Daddy’s kittens to the vet when our tiniest boy, Frankie, took a turn for the worse.

A huge thank-you to **Pet Street** for their kindness and compassion and for taking us in right away. They did everything they could to help our babies, including checking all four kittens’ eyes for tears or ulcers and prescribing new eye medication to replace the gel. ❤️

Sadly, Frankie passed away last night.

As I held my sweet boy in my arms, he just wanted to hold my hand and stare at me. I am so thankful he got to see me and feel the sunlight yesterday. I will treasure that moment forever. 💔

I find comfort in knowing that Frankie is being made whole again in heaven, where he will be a happy, healthy kitten with no pain or suffering. Someday, I'll see him again, and until then, I know he'll be waiting for me.

Run free, my sweet boy. Mommy loves you. Until we meet again. 🌈🐾❤️

🐾 **ONE MORE LITTER, FOUR MORE LITTLE LIVES TO SAVE!** 💔

We were so thankful to finally catch the Maine C**n daddy, but sadly, on Friday, I found another one of the litters he left behind. Four more babies who desperately need us. 😢

All four have terrible upper respiratory infections, with their eyes being hit the hardest. I brought them straight into the rescue, cleaned them up, got them quarantined, and started the care they desperately needed. We're praying these little fighters pull through without permanent damage. ❤️‍🩹

Fall trapping hasn't even fully gotten underway, and we're already filling up again. We have so many little lives depending on us, and we need to be prepared for the next babies who will inevitably be found without their moms.

**Being prepared can make all the difference for these babies.** Having kitten food, formula, and supplies ready can mean the difference between being able to help immediately and scrambling to find what we need.

I've updated both of our wish lists with the supplies we need most. Every donation helps us care for these babies and prepare for the next ones who need us. ❤️

🐾WHAT A WEEK AT AVENUE KATZ RESCUE! 🐾

I don't even know where to begin! We've had such an incredible week, and my heart is FULL! ❤️

🏡 Our first open house brought 7 adoptions on Saturday and 1 more on Sunday!

❤️ On Wednesday, one of our amazing fosters called and asked if she could adopt three of our car lot babies she'd previously fostered. Jimmy, Jeanette, and Princess are officially joining her family! How amazing is that? 🥹❤️

🐱 Then yesterday, we held our second open house and adopted THREE MORE KITTENS!

That's 14 CATS ADOPTED IN JUST OVER A WEEK! 🎉🐾

Every adoption makes room for another cat or kitten who needs us. And because of these wonderful families, we're making room to bring in a few more cats from the car lot and welcome our next TWO LITTERS that one of our incredible fosters has been graciously caring for!

But wait… there's MORE GOOD NEWS! 😂🙌

🎉 I THINK WE FINALLY CAUGHT THE MAINE C**N DADDY!

I'm about 90% sure we finally got him after he fathered three more litters around my neighborhood! We also caught TWO incredibly hard-to-catch males who have been reproducing in the neighborhood.

ALL THREE BOYS WERE TNR'D! 🐾✂️

Hopefully, that's the end of their baby-making careers and the beginning of fewer unwanted litters in our community!

From adoptions to making room for more rescues to finally catching those hard-to-catch boys, this has truly been a FANTASTIC week!
