🌟Brunson is a 70 lb, approximately 1.5 year pup who is coming back into rescue through no fault of his own.
He was adopted in March, and while his family loves him dearly, Brunson has decided he would really prefer to be the only dog in the home. He doesn’t care for his boxer sister and would much rather have all the attention to himself. And sometimes, these things just happen.
His foster mom from before his adoption said Brunson was one of the best boys she’s ever had in her home. His current family feels the same and wants what is best for him.
Brunson is a happy, energetic boy who enjoys walks, greets people nicely, and can be left out of his crate without being destructive. He LOVES to run, and he can jump surprisingly high on all four paws!
For Brunson, the right home is

✅No small children due to his size and exuberance.

🐾 Meet Sammy! 💙

Sammy and his sister, Lilly, arrived at a Virginia shelter when they were just 8 months old. Both were thin and had rough-looking skin. With some much-needed medical TLC and good nutrition, they began to feel—and look—so much better.

Lilly was fortunate enough to find a home through the shelter, but Sammy kept waiting for his chance. 💔

After four long months, the shelter reached out to AABR, hoping we could help Sammy move into a foster home and find the family he so deserves.

And today, that wish came true! 🥰 One of our amazing previous adopters answered our plea and is welcoming Sammy into their home.

The shelter says Sammy is the perfect combination of puppy enthusiasm and total sweetness. At approximately 11 months old, this Boxer mix has all the classic Boxer energy, fun, wiggles, and charm to keep you smiling every day!

Foster found!

💙 THOR NEEDS A HOME 💙

Thor is an 8-year-old Boxer currently located in Maryland. His beloved owner has congestive heart failure, and sadly, her health has taken a turn for the worse. She is spending more time in the hospital, and her greatest wish is to know that her beloved Thor will be safe, loved, and cared for in a wonderful home. 💔

Thor is a fantastic boy who gets along with children of all ages, cats, and dogs of all sizes. He truly is the kind of Boxer who deserves a soft landing and a family to love him.

Thor could stand to lose some weight, and AABR will make sure he is fully updated on his veterinary care before placement.
