Because my “downtime” looks a lot like this:
Reading about dogs.

One of the things I love most about Den to Discipline Dog Training is when past and present clients share special moments from their lives with their dogs.

Birthdays, holidays, funny snapshots, and everyday moments — it means so much when families send updates and photos of the dogs I’ve had the privilege of working with.

Watching these dogs grow into confident, balanced companions long after training is finished is truly the greatest reward.

👑 Ollie the Cavapoo — From Chaos to Little Prince 👑

When Ollie first started his journey with Den to Discipline Dog Training, this little Cavapoo prince had plenty of personality… but not much structure yet.

Like many puppies, Ollie’s world felt exciting, busy, and a little out of control. Nights were restless, potty training was inconsistent, doors were an open invitation for chaos, and leash walks felt more like a tug-of-war than a peaceful stroll.

But when the humans learn the language dogs understand, everything begins to change.

Through the Starting Pawsition puppy training foundations, Ollie learned that leadership and routine bring confidence and calm.

Now look at this little prince 👑

✔️ Crate trained and sleeping peacefully through the night
✔️ Potty training success with clear routine and communication
✔️ “Place” by the door with calm manners instead of rushing guests
✔️ Walking beautifully on the leash with his handler instead of pulling

🐾 BLUE – The Dutiful Big Brother

Every pack has a steady presence… and Blue has been that for his sisters.

While Love and Harley were learning structure, Blue stepped into his role as the honorable big brother. He participated, demonstrated, and reinforced what leadership looks like inside the home.

What I love most about this training journey is that it wasn’t just three separate dogs — it was a pack transformation.

Each one affects the other.
Energy transfers.
Confidence transfers.
Leadership transfers.

Blue contributed by modeling what he already knew and helping his younger sisters rise to the same standard.

There’s something powerful about balanced dogs influencing one another under strong human leadership.

Honorary graduate? Absolutely.

Harley may not have been as anxious as her sister, but she was full of that boxer/poodle ENERGY. 💥

She needed socialization, yes — but more than anything, she needed direction.

Through structure, routine, and clear communication, Harley learned:
• How to behave on a leash
• How to play promoted with discipline
• How to practice impulse control
• How to thrive on praise and leadership

Harley responds beautifully to clarity. When expectations are consistent, she shines.

This is what our ladder approach is about — not suppressing energy, but guiding it.

Now she channels that enthusiasm into focus, obedience, and balanced behavior. And she absolutely thrives on it.

🐾 LOVE – From Fearful to Flourishing

Love came to Den to Discipline Dog Training unsure of the world around her. Without early socialization or clear commands, her anxiety showed up as nervous energy and reactivity. She wasn’t “bad” — she was unsure.

And unsure dogs just need leadership.

Through our ladder approach, Love learned what it feels like to have clarity.
She now walks without extreme pulling.
She understands “place.”
She plays with discipline and growing impulse control.

Most importantly? She blossomed.

Confidence replaced fear.
Structure replaced chaos.
Leadership replaced anxiety.

Watching her soften, trust, and respond with understanding has been such a beautiful transformation. When a dog knows someone else is leading, they can finally exhale.

And Love did just that. 💛

One of the greatest gifts in this season of love is seeing past clients continue the journey. I am so grateful when you keep me updated on your pups — watching them grow, mature, and continue climbing the ladder.

Training isn’t a one-time event. It’s a way of life. It’s routine. It’s leadership. It’s consistency. It’s taking the tools you were given and building rung by rung.

Tank the white Boxer has officially graduated from Next Rung Basic Obedience — and let me tell you, this journey was anything but basic.

Tank’s handlers absorbed every ounce of the training and took this package further than I’ve ever seen.
Through time, effort, patience, repetition, and growing confidence, Tank climbed all the way to service-level public access behavior.

This incredible duo — a mother and daughter team — worked in sync, listening to one another, guiding Tank with clarity, and showing up consistently. Their eagerness and commitment made all the difference.
Tank overcame reactivity, a lack of routine, unclear communication, limited confidence, and no real interest in fetching. Today? He’s a model citizen — calm, confident, and trusted. From structured routines and crystal-clear communication, to pleasant walks built on mutual trust, to becoming a doggie daycare superstar with his own little posse — Tank rose to the occasion.

I’ve been with this family nearly from the beginning, and watching how far they chose to take this training has been incredibly rewarding. Hats off to handlers who truly honor the responsibility of owning a dog and do the work it deserves.
