If you have any glider experience and can open your home to a couple gliders, please consider fostering for this great rescue taking in many gliders

Hold onto your seat for the Cape Coral case.

We were able to get more information from the person surrendering in Cape Coral FL and what we are walking into is staggering. There are approximately 100 gliders in total and about 90 of them need to be neutered.

We will be doing the pickup at the beginning of the month but we may be able to place some with local foster homes if we can get a few more approved in that area. If you are in or near Cape Coral and have ever considered fostering this is the time to step up.

We will be bringing the bulk of these gliders a few hours north to a couple of our fosters but we do not want to place this many gliders on just two people. We need you to get those applications in stat and we promise we will be working overtime to get through every single one at lightning fast speed.

We will be getting more details soon but as it stands we are hoping to neuter them somewhere in central Florida so we are not currently looking to foster them outside of that area. Once they are neutered we will be looking into transporting them to other parts of the country if we can pull together the adopters. If you have been thinking about adopting this is your moment to jump in and help change lives.

We are already looking into bulk neuter pricing with local vets and we will travel if we have to. This is going to be the biggest surrender we have ever handled and we are absolutely going to need everyone to band together so we can pull this off.

We need cash donations.
We need cages. Borrowed cages will absolutely work and we will return them once the gliders are moved.

Cookie is doing great!!!

He's gained some weight, he's eating hay, he's slowly learning what the litter box is for.

He is now fully vaccinated against the deadly RHDV2, and is set to be neutered on Tuesday! Two weeks after that he'll be ready for adoption.

Cookie is doing great!! He's really opened up and is a very curious boy. He's eating his hay and being a general messy bun (but we love him anyway). He's very anxious for his quarantine to end - he just wants to explore!!

Hi all.

We were taking a much needed hiatus due to the health of yours truly and other personal factors...
..but then the universe came knocking with a domestic bun outside my friend and neighbors house, and when the universe knocks it's generally just good practice to answer.

So this is Cookie (courtesy of the little girl who spotted him!). He's currently both being quarantined and on a stray hold. I have a vet appointment set for after his quarantine period and then he will be vaccinated and neutered (he's definitely a boy!). If an owner does not come forward he will then be available for adoption.

I would also like to extend a MASSIVE shout-out to our friends at Orlando Rabbit Care & Adoptions for finding a volunteer who was able to meet us quickly and in a hurry to help catch him!

We had a blast yesterday at Tampa Bay Bunfest!!!!! Thanks to everyone who stopped by the bunny grooming station, and of course to Suncoast House Rabbit Rescue for putting on an amazing event. We can't wait to go back next time 🥰 so many sweet and cute bunnies!!

Thanks to a very kind neighbor of mine, the animals got some extra veggies today 💜 here's Sam and Fruity enjoying (and stealing) some fresh, home grown cilantro!!!

Welcome Rosie into our care!

Rosie is a young female guinea pig, with a big appetite and an even louder voice when it comes to treats. She's just come out of quarantine, so she just needs a vet check before she's ready to join her next herd!

I can't believe Sam and Frodo (I kept accidentally calling him Frodo...so his name is Frodo now!) are still looking for their furever home!
