First ride back since breaking my leg! I’ll be taking things slow while I continue recovering and work toward getting full strength and mobility back. Hopefully within the next few weeks I’ll be ready to start bringing horses back in for training.

Even when you are unable to ride, there are still many valuable ways to work with your horse and continue strengthening your connection. Groundwork is just as beneficial as riding for both the horse and rider.

Some productive activities include:
• Lunging
• Grooming sessions
• Desensitization work
• Practicing ground manners
• Obstacle work
• Stretching and flexibility exercises

Often, the progress made from the ground carries over into the saddle and can positively influence your horse’s responsiveness, trust, and overall performance.

This past weekend I unfortunately sustained a broken ankle due to a bronc riding incident. Because of this, I will be limiting my services to lessons only until I am fully healed and able to safely return to full training.

I currently have availability for one horse to come in for a 30-day training program.

During their time with me, your horse will receive:
• 4–5 days per week of consistent riding
• Groundwork to build respect and softness
• Desensitization to improve confidence
• Hands-on, individualized attention each day
• Proper daily care, feeding, and monitoring
• Exposure to new environments and situations
• Customized training focused on your specific goals for your horse

My program is designed to build a solid foundation, improve communication, and create a more confident, well-rounded horse both on the ground and under saddle.

Requirements:
• Current Coggins test
• Up-to-date vaccinations
• Owner disclosure of any behavioral or medical concerns

Owner involvement and progress updates and lessons will be provided throughout the program to ensure continued success once your horse returns home.
