Pancakes & Draco want you to have an emergency preparedness plan.
1 - where will you go for shelter via (tornado, hurricane, flood etc?)
2 - do you extra pet supplies in a to-go emergency supply bag? (Carriers, leashes, harness, food, water, medicine, supplements, toys, bedding, litter boxes, pet first aid kit)
3 - have medical records, phone numbers and addresses of emergency shelters, rescues, pet friendly hotels you can seek shelter at in your to-go kit
4 - start training for these scenarios with treats, clicker training and using siren sounds you can find on YouTube. When the siren goes off, have your pet go to the desired safety location, give them a treat, and repeat. Do this on a regular basis to reinforce the behavior.
