Topher’s Paw Co. began in 2020 as a mobile nail trim business, providing in-store nail trim clinics at local pet stores throughout the Lansing area. As demand grew, so did our vision.

In August 2022, we opened our very first physical location. The space was humble 😂 just 150 square feet in the basement of a professional office building, with a waiting room shared with both a therapist and a chiropractor. From this small suite, we expanded our services beyond nail care to include pet upkeep services such as teeth brushing, ear cleaning, and other wellness care.

Although the space was modest, it represented a major milestone for us. Every client, every pet, and every appointment helped build the foundation for what Topher’s Paw Co. would become.

After just eight months, we outgrew our first location and moved into our current facility. In 2025, we doubled the size of that space, allowing us to expand our services even further and continue serving more pets and families throughout the community.

This photo below was taken in August 2022 as we prepared our very first Topher’s Paw Co. physical location. A reminder that every business starts somewhere, and this small room was where our next chapter began. We couldn’t have done it without all of those who continue to support our small business.

Their kindness and generosity make such a difference for the pets in our care, and we are incredibly grateful for their continued support of Capital Area Humane Society.

Because of partners, like Topher’s Paw Co., pets like Kodak receive the extra love and care they deserve while they wait for their forever homes. Thank you for always being there for our animals and for helping them put their best paw forward!
