Could Iris be your Lucky Charm ☘️? Her potential placement fell through 😔 Iris and her little personality are absolutely blooming 💐! She does remind me somewhat of dad, Max, in the following ways:
1. She is a phantom parti tri like dad. When you look at the photo, Iris has more brown than Dad (his was fainter than hers as a puppy, but it does fade over time as you can see in the photo of Max) Iris also has more white, while dad has the black blanket back. I assure you she is marked beautifully! Her coat is fluffy white and the texture of her black markings is different and so interesting. Swipe to see her markings.
2. Her serious eyes and the way she looks at you is just like her Dad. Side eye potential is there and growing 👀
3. A slightly more serious, intense personality. That said, when they switch to playful mode it’s so CUTE and such a fun CONTRAST 😊
That said, here is the main way Iris is NOT like her dad: Iris is a LAP GIRL. She is obsessed with me (I’m her person) and she’ll pick me over everyone else, dogs included. Even over Guthrey, the guy who feeds her 🥲 Iris follows me everywhere and plays for a little then wants to check in and stay for awhile. She does great with Ellie and other dogs - I do not think there will be a strong prey drive with Iris; this makes a home with cats or a farm with chickens a possibility for good placement potential. While Max is very independent with his own mind (though still trainable), Iris is very human focused.
I say all of this to conclude with Iris would be a wonderful companion for someone wanting a true emotional support baby (she will be your best girl), even the home of an older couple or individual who desires a calmer standard Poodle who just wants to be loved.
Iris is learning potty, starting crate/lead exposure, comes microchipped, dewormed, good vet check, 2 sets of shots, from AKC clear parents.
