The idea behind this collection came from the vision that everyone feel included in the equestrian community and we are donating a portion of our proceeds from this collection to the Full Moon Farm Eventing Foundation Full Moon Farm Eventing Foundation for the month of June. We fully support their mission of promoting inclusion within the equestrian community and their ongoing efforts to create a more welcoming, accessible, & equitable environment for riders, professionals, & spectators across the sport of eventing.

Let me tell you about my dad…..

He gave me the chance for my first pony ride, helped me get my first horse, and helped me buy my first Friesian as an adult, because he told me he didn’t want me to live a life with dreams unfulfilled. He has always supported me in big and small ways and has always been the best horse show dad you could imagine. Grooming, cleaning tack, polishing feet, you name it - he was there through my years of showing horses as a kid in 4H & as an adult pursuing dressage dreams.

So, cheers to the dads, who tirelessly support their kids, especially when it comes to their horses. 🍾🥂

“I’m Clay Murray (he/him). I’ve been around horses my whole life, and they’ve never much cared who I am—only that I’m honest with them, and that I show up. The equestrian community hasn’t always extended the same courtesy.

Horses were always the easy part. With them, I felt at home in a way I couldn’t explain for a long time. Around other riders, something never quite fit. When I came out as trans, that feeling finally had a name. Turns out, I wasn’t the problem—I just didn’t fit the mold.

Finding my footing in the industry after that was a different challenge. I had the credentials. I had the experience. Barn after barn turned me away, and I didn’t have to wonder why. So I stopped looking for a door that would open and built something of my own—on a dead-end road, surrounded by forest, far enough from the noise to breathe.

These days, I focus on developing horses that aren’t always considered “easy”—the opinionated ones, the spicy ones, the ones that need someone willing to listen instead of fight. Jumpers, eventing prospects, and horses that require a bit more “feel than force” tend to find their way to me. Transcend Equestrian is my home, my sanctuary, and my livelihood—and proof that there’s room for people like me here, whether the industry makes space or not.”
