To the supporters of Sweat Land and Livestock,

Everybody knows it’s been raining the last few days. We can all agree on that rain equals mud. The semi truck hopped on I-15 covered in mud, and smashed my window from over 100 ft away.

I work hard to provide a high-quality, professional service at a very cheap price, even throwing in COMPLIMENTARY paw shaves, treats, and paw balm for the dogs.
Yet no matter how hard I work, it never seems to be enough.

People tell me I should just buy a grooming van or an enclosed vehicle, but I don't have "mommy and daddy" money to fall back on. Please look at the cost before suggesting something outlandish.
My parents weren't born into wealth, and everything I have, I've had to earn myself.

Yesterday, a semi truck covered in mud and debris shattered our car window, shattering the glass which DID hit us, Now, the company refuses to provide their insurance information, and the highway patrol claims it’s just a "civil issue" and refuses to do anything. The driver even SPIT towards me, as i pointed out the window he broke.

We drive over 200 miles every single day to take care of our clients and pay our bills. Charging only $20 per trim.

We shouldn't be forced to drive around with broken glass and pay out of pocket for damage caused by a commercial truck whose driver couldn't bother to clear their DIRTY rig.

Also to all the racist people out there. DON’T consider using our services. I wont hold back.

Sweat Land and Livestock

If you follow us, you know we’ve had our fair share of vehicle issues. Today, on i-15, heading towards Brigham City, we were driving well behind a semi when a large chunk of dried mud and rocks came off his vehicle and hit ours, completely smashing our window.

We immediately called the police. We tried flagging him down.
When we passed the driver’s side, his window was down and he was looking directly at me. I said, while pointing at the broken window, You did this!” and he SPIT TOWARD ME.

After damaging our vehicle, refusing to pull over, and spitting in my direction, I looked up the company name and was able to identify the driver as Jamie Sweat of Sweat Land and Livestock.

Thanks a lot, dude. You’re really helping out American families like you claim to be while smashing their work vehicles windows to pieces.

We tried taping the window up so we could continue to our appointments, but glass kept falling all over the vehicle even after we taped the inside and outside as best we could. Because of that, we had to miss five appointments. Five people were waiting for us. Five families were expecting us to show up for their dogs and cats.

And what did the police tell us?

“It’s a civil issue.”

So I called him myself. He told me he would talk to the police, and apparently he already knew exactly what had happened. He even said, “It happens all the time.”

I am genuinely so sorry to everyone we weren’t able to show up for today. I know people rearrange their schedules and make plans around their appointments with us, and it absolutely kills me that something completely outside of our control caused us to let five families down.
I am beyond angry and frustrated right now. We work hard for our business and depend on our vehicle to get us to every single appointment. Having it damaged like this has put us in an incredibly difficult position.

To everyone affected today: I am truly, deeply sorry. ❤️ we are getting this repaired ASAP to avoid issues with tomorrow’s appointments.

this car hit and ran us last Sunday in West Jordan while we’re parked at Andres aunts house
 it has under glow
If you have any information or see a car similar in West Jordan, or surrounding areas please let us know as you guys know we rely on our vehicle to get to and from appointments
Police report was filed. We still haven’t found them a happened near Terra Linda elementary.

Luckily, that airbags didn’t go off and we got it all fixed however they should still be held accountable and I’d love their insurance information

We will be off Monday July 13th - Saturday July 18th (5 days) and will proceed with normal hours, 5 days a week (8:30 AM - 7:00 PM) as soon as Sunday the 19th!

I very much feel the need to address something. No AI, no Grammarly. Just me, Ashley. 🤷🏻‍♀️

I make mistakes. I am not perfect by any means.
I cannot control weather, time, individual animals’ behavior, traffic, injury nor illness.

My husband and I offer this service because we love it, and think we’re pretty good at it. I often share how much I enjoy doing nails, and that it’s my favorite part of dog grooming.
I usually share my reason why: It’s such a small thing that makes a HUGE difference in mobility.

Anyway, I just want to say that I never started this business expecting to make everyone happy.
- There’s going to be clients that never have me back because I cut their dogs nails too short for the final time.
- There’s going to be clients that never have me back because I don’t cut the nails short enough.
- There’s going to be clients that end up going to someone else, and probably to the woman that copied our page, services offered, and everything else to an absolute T. 🙊
- There’s going to be clients that you’ve helped in the past (done for free during hard times) that will go to someone else.
- There’s going to be someone who asks if we’re planning on staying the night with all that gear we’ve got. 💀
- We’re probably going to hear about you talking poorly about us at local salons. 😉
- We’re probably going to find out that only 1 of your dogs could have their nails done by above individual.

‼️This will be the only mention of the above situations, no personal details will be provided as I’m truly not trying to hurt anyone’s feelings and again, I just don’t care anymore‼️

But what does bother me is when people aren’t flexible with me, when I travel all the way from Ogden. I have to make a route. It is not optional - with the increasing costs of fuel, I have to optimize my routes. I cannot come all the way to West Valley for example, for 2 dogs. That is a lot of driving, and incredibly unrealistic for any mobile service.

If you are not willing to be flexible, I highly recommend from this point forward to find someone else.. and NO I don’t have any recommendations. 😑😂
I AM valuable. So are you. So is your dog. So…let’s just try to be reasonable with one another, okay? Okay.
