While your dog may look cool cruising down the highway, summer travel is safest when you plan ahead.

🐾 Update ID tags and microchip information
💧 Bring plenty of fresh water
🧳 Pack food, medications, and a favorite toy
📸 Keep a recent photo of your dog on your phone

Now all that's left to do is enjoy the ride!

🚗 Buckle Up, Pups! Car Safety Matters 🐾

We all love taking our Australian Labradoodles on adventures, but safety should always come first.

Just like people, dogs are safest when properly restrained in the car. Allowing dogs to roam freely can be dangerous for them — and distracting for the driver.

✅ Ride in the back seat when possible
✅ Use a crash-tested harness, seat belt attachment, or secured crate
✅ Keep heads and bodies safely inside the vehicle
✅ Bring water and take breaks on longer trips

A proper restraint can help protect your dog in the event of sudden stops or an accident and keeps everyone safer on the road.

Burrs, are spiny seed pods that can easily get stuck in a dog's fur, causing irritation and discomfort. They are particularly problematic for ALD's with long coats. If you live in an area with burrs, check your dogs paws often.

With over 5,000 responses, this survey represents a powerful collaboration between breeders and owners who care deeply about the future of the breed.

A special thank you to everyone who participated. Your input helps guide responsible breeding, supports transparency, and strengthens the health of the Australian Labradoodle for generations to come.
