I wanted to make a post to thank Danielle Howell for gifting me this adorable little doeling. Nothing can replace hershey, but having another dog-like goat in the yard helps it not seem so empty. The herd immediately took to her and everyone is seeming a little more cheerful!

Another sad post unfortunately. Tonight I found hershey sleeping in an odd spot. Only this time when I reached down to pet her goodnight, her body was stiff. Hershey has been my little buddy for 3 years. She was my first goat and by far the best goat. I bottle raised her and her brother, eventually decided to part with her brother so they didnt inbreed. And from there me and Hershey grew an amazing bond. 3 years may seem like a short time, but take into account that im only 17 so it feels like forever. I took Hershey everywhere, farmers markets, parks, fundraisers, feed stores, and pretty much anywhere she was allowed. Anyways, i cant stop crying long enough to finish this post so im just gonna end it here. I will miss you Hershey, and may the pastures always be greener on the other side 🐐❤️

I am so frustrated!!! I have been raising show rabbits for going on 3 years now (ive raised mixed meat rabbits for years prior) and have never had heat be an issue. So far in the past week I have lost 3 adult rabbits which I payed more than I want to admit for and the worst part is 1 of them just produced 2 of my favorite variety of britannia petite (broken blue otters) and left them without a mom. Luckily I had another doe that I bred that unfortunately lost her babies that i was able to foster them to but only 1 took to her so i lost the other. I have bought extra fans, tried cooling tiles, frozen water bottles, and it's not even the hottest its going to get! People are wondering why I havent been going to shows lately and honestly I'm just starting to see it as a waste of money that I as a 17 year old doing this all by myself just don't have. It'd be different if I had an air conditioned bunny barn but sadly thats out of the picture for the foreseeable future. I still plan to go to this year's rabbit convention but now debating if everything i enter is going to come home with me or someone else because this is becoming a stressful hobby with my limited resources 😔.
