Skip is waiting for his forever home

2nd Life Animal Rescue in collaboration with Road to Home Rescue

Skip's Story

**LOCATION - ALABAMA, AVAILABLE W/TRANSPORT TO MANY STATES**

HE WATCHED THE OTHERS FIND THEIR HOMES. NOW, AFTER A YEAR OF WAITING, IT'S FINALLY SKIP'S TURN.

About a year ago, Skip was saved in Alabama along with three other dogs by one of our fellow rescuers.

One by one, the other dogs went on to find their forever homes.

But Skip had to wait.

Not because there was anything wrong with this wonderful boy, but because Skip was heartworm positive and needed to complete his treatment before he could begin the next chapter of his life.

So while the others moved on, Skip stayed behind.

He went through treatment. He waited patiently. And now we finally get to share the news we've been waiting for:

SKIP IS HEARTWORM NEGATIVE AND READY FOR HIS FOREVER HOME!

And whoever adopts this boy is getting one heck of a dog.

Skip is 3 years old and approximately 75 lbs.
Vizsla/Redtick Coonhound mix
Great with people
Great with other dogs
Housebroken
Good in the car
Playful, affectionate and lovable
No cats for Skip — this hound boy will chase them!

Skip has already spent a year waiting for his chance. We don't want him waiting another.

He's healthy. He's happy. He's ready.

Ready for the family who will take him on car rides. The person who will throw the ball one more time. A couch to stretch out on after a day of playing. And most importantly, a home where he finally gets to belong.

If you're looking for a great dog who has already put the hard part behind him, Skip just may be your boy.

Apply to adopt Skip at rthrs.com

Please SHARE Skip far and wide. His three friends already got their happy endings.

After everything he's been through and an entire year of waiting, it's finally Skip's turn.

Buck is waiting for his forever home

2nd Life Animal Rescue in collaboration with Road to Home Rescue

Buck's Story

**Buck is located in Alabama - available with transport to many states**

WE SAVED SENIOR BUCK FROM THE SHELTER. NOW LET’S FIND HIM THE HOME HE DESERVES.

When we first introduced Buck, he was leaving an overcrowded Alabama shelter behind and heading into foster care. We knew we had saved a sweet senior boy — but now that he’s had time to settle in, we’re learning just how special he really is.

Buck is an absolute sweetheart.

He is 8 years old, 63 pounds, incredibly loving and about as chill as they come. He’s doing wonderfully in foster, loves being around his people and has done well with every dog he has met.

This is the kind of dog who just wants to be part of your life. A comfortable bed, someone to love him, maybe a canine friend to hang out with, and a home where he can finally know he belongs.

Buck is heartworm positive and currently being treated using the slow-kill protocol. Road to Home will continue to cover the cost of his heartworm treatment until he tests n

Goose is waiting for his forever home

2nd Life Animal Rescue in collaboration with Road to Home Rescue

*Goose is located in Alabama and is available w/transport to many states**

MEET GOOSE — FROM LIVING OUTSIDE TO WAITING FOR A FAMILY OF HIS OWN

Sometimes rescue begins with one person seeing animals who need help and simply refusing to look the other way.

Goose was one of several dogs living outside at a woman's home in Alabama where she was no longer able to properly care for them. Thankfully, one of our incredible independent rescuers learned about their situation and stepped in.

She opened her own home to these dogs, got them fully vetted, cared for and safe, and then reached out to Road to Home asking if we could help find them the forever homes they deserve.

Of course, we said YES.

So now it's time for you to meet Goose!

Goose is a handsome 1 1/2 year-old Foxhound mix weighing approximately 59 lbs. Despite everything he's been through, this boy is an absolute sweetheart.
