As a pet boarder, I try to keep my feed positive, but I felt compelled to share this. Even though it happened up in Washington state, it hits really close to home for anyone in our industry.

The owner of Kraftwerk K9 (operating at EdelHaus Pet Resort in Rochester, WA) is currently awaiting trial on first-degree manslaughter charges after fatally shooting his 23-year-old manager, Curtice Gordon, on-site during a video shoot using live ammunition. Despite the pending trial and what happened on that property, the business has recently launched new "luxury" boarding services at the exact same location.
Working in pet care means being responsible for the lives of animals and the people who care for them.

Tragedies like this are a heartbreaking reminder of why safety protocols, basic common sense, and background research matter so much when choosing who to trust with your animals.
