The number one thing I see dog owners, dog trainers, and even dog training schools get wrong is the obsession with obedience and positions while completely ignoring fulfillment đś
For me, emotional regulation, fulfillment, and a sense of achievement matter far more than whether a dog can hold a perfect heel.
A dog can perform a command and still feel frustrated, anxious, disconnected, and overstimulated.
Fulfillment is what transforms dogs đž
But even then, a lot of people still get it wrong because they choose activities based on what THEY enjoy instead of learning to listen to the dog in front of them.
You have to learn how to listen to and observe your dog.
Whether youâre working on engagement, confidence, neutrality, play, reactivity, obedience, or relationship building, the goal is the same:
â˘â â A more fulfilled dog
â˘â â A clearer owner
â˘â â Better communication
