Lue Lue had 6 babies today. ❤️

We have no pictures because Jace was too busy assisting to get one. 😂 I was teaching my kiddos and she was here handling all of it and done a fantastic job (like I knew she would 😉)! We FaceTimed a few times and the kids and I were watching the cameras off and on. It was an amazing experience to share this part of my life with my third graders. 🥰 Every hour they would ask me if she had any more puppies and we would check!

All the puppies are doing great except for one little piebald who I expect was conceived at a later date than the others and who is a little underdeveloped. We are on another 2 hour rotation to make sure he is eating. He can suck just fine but he’s not big and strong enough to root the others out to eat.

Whew. Mama is ready for a small break after these last few litters! 😮‍💨

Nova Lynn had her C-section today and 5 beautiful puppies! 🥰

Mom and babies are doing great so far! It takes Nova a couple of days to fully get off the anesthesia and figure out what these babies want from her. ❤️🤣

If you ever wonder why my puppies cost so much, it’s because Jace and I take turns watching, checking, making sure the babies are full and eating every 2 hours, and that mama is doing okay and recovering well. Every 2 hours, all night long, no matter what is going on the next day. And that’s just the start of it. ❤️

I’m already tired for my first day of 3rd grade tomorrow. 😅 But I’m thankful it was today and that Jace didn’t have to try and do it all on her own tomorrow! I have no doubts that she couldn’t do it, but it’s a lot. I’m thankful I got to be there. 🫶🏼

Any guesses on how many babies we will be expecting next week?! ❤️Our Nova Lynn is so big and so over it. 😅

It’s been a hard couple of days over here. 😔

My OG girl, Callie, my first ever dachshund, passed away yesterday. 😭 We found her the perfect home after she retired and I know she was living her best life. For that I’m grateful, but I’m so heartbroken.

This morning I noticed this little guy was lethargic so off to the vet we went. They think it could have been a sugar drop and he’s doing much better, but be praying that’s all it is! In the meantime, this is where he’ll be. 🙈🤣 I have slept all night twice since June, when all the babies were born. And here’s to those two nights, cause that won’t be the case now. 😅

Raising babies isn’t for the faint of heart, that’s for sure. 💔❤️
