Experienced Working-Dog Home Needed for Sophie

Sophie is a young, spayed, working-line German Shepherd looking for a committed home that understands the needs of a high-drive dog.
She’s a very sweet girl who enjoys people, is social with dogs, knows her basic cues, and loves to play. She also has lots of energy and a strong scent drive. Sophie needs an active, experienced handler who wants to train with her and give her a meaningful job, such as scent work, tracking, or another structured activity.

This is a serious placement, and we’re looking for the right long-term fit—not just someone looking for a German Shepherd. I’ll be carefully reviewing potential homes and will discuss Sophie’s full history and needs with qualified, interested people.

One of the biggest parts of training isn't just teaching commands—it's teaching dogs how to exist confidently in the real world.

Today, Chip spent time at a busy auto shop with loud tools, cars coming and going, people walking by, and all kinds of new sights and sounds. After a short walk, we simply relaxed and observed the environment together.

At just 6 months old, Chip is learning that the world doesn't have to be overwhelming. These outings help build confidence, teach calm behavior around distractions, and prepare him to be a well-mannered companion wherever life takes him.

Also District Tire Center is the best place to go for any car needs !! 🐾

⚠️ Air Quality Alert ⚠️

Due to heavy wildfire smoke in our area, there will be no outdoor training today or tomorrow.

Please keep dogs inside as much as possible, limit walks and exercise, and watch for coughing or breathing issues.

2nd session with Ozzie! He has been showing some forward aggression towards guests coming to this owners home. She typically avoids it by putting hin in the yard or not having anyone over. Our goal is for me to make friends with Ozzie since he has only 2 and they are family members.

Ozzie also hasn't been walked in years so giving his mom some confidence in the walk.
