Back where she belongs. 🌊❤️

Today was Harley’s first trip back to one of her favorite places since breaking her toe.

After weeks of rest and recovery, seeing her charging into the water, carrying sticks, and enjoying the beach again was everything I hoped for.

Recovery isn’t always exciting. It’s slow, sometimes frustrating, and takes patience. But moments like today remind me why it’s worth taking the time to let our dogs heal properly.

Big day for the Prime Standard crew! 🌊🐾

Today was a milestone for both of our Cane Corsos.

Crucial got to experience the dog beach for the very first time, and I couldn’t be happier with how he handled himself. This wasn’t just a beach trip—it was a huge step forward in his socialization.

For short, controlled periods, I let him go off leash. I know that isn’t for every dog or every situation, but it gave him the opportunity to meet dogs and people without feeling like he always had to rely on me. Sometimes our own emotions travel right down the leash, and I think my presence can unintentionally add pressure for him. Giving him the chance to make good decisions on his own, while still under supervision, really paid off.

One thing that surprised me was the water. If you’ve ever been to Bonita Dog Beach, you know the tides can change everything. We went on a whim and didn’t check the tide, so before long the water was much deeper than we expected. 😂

For a puppy on his very first beach trip, I wasn’t sure what he’d think… but that confidence kicked right in. He jumped into the water without hesitation and started cruising around like he’d been doing it his whole life.

Confidence isn’t something you’re born with—it’s something you build through positive experiences. Today was another brick in that foundation.

🐾 Growing Up Isn’t Always Easy 🐾

Crucial recently made another trip to the vet for his rabies vaccine and check-up.

Let’s be honest—going to the vet isn’t his favorite thing, especially after all the shots and poking he’s had lately. 😅

But what makes us proud is seeing how much he’s improving with every visit. Each time he walks into a new environment, meets new people, and experiences something unfamiliar, he becomes a little more confident and a little more comfortable.

At 32 pounds and growing, this little man continues to impress us not just with his size, but with his willingness to work through things and keep learning.

Every experience is a chance to grow, and we’re excited to see the dog he’s becoming. 💙

Recovery hasn’t been Harley’s favorite part of the journey, but it’s an important one. 🖤🐾

After breaking a toe in June, Harley has been on crate rest while she heals. 🩹 Though she’s eager to get back to full speed, she’s making steady progress each day. 💪✨

We’ve been giving her time with Crucial when possible to help maintain their bond in a calm, controlled way. 🐶❤️🐶

We’re excited to have our Harley Bug back to her usual energy soon, but for now we’re taking recovery one day at a time. 🐾🌿

🇺🇸🐾 Crucial’s First Fourth of July 🐾🇺🇸

This year we took Crucial to a Fourth of July cookout so we could see how he handled fireworks for the first time.

We’re proud to say he absolutely crushed it. 💙

Through all the noise, crowds, and fireworks, he stayed calm, confident, and unbothered. Watching him take everything in stride reminded us just how important proper socialization is.

A huge thank you to our friends for opening up their home and including us in the celebration. Opportunities like these help us continue building a confident, well-rounded young dog, and we’re incredibly grateful for the support.

This little beast continues to make us proud every day.

A chapter closes.

Paisley officially retired from our breeding program and was spayed last week.

She gave us beautiful puppies, taught us a lot, and now gets to spend the rest of her days doing what she does best—being spoiled.

🐾 Harley Update 🐾

Life has been a little slower around here lately.

A few days ago Harley managed to break a toe, which means rest, limited activity, and keeping that foot wrapped.

The good news? She’s doing well.

The bad news? Nobody has convinced Harley she’s injured. 😅

She’s still supervising everyone, keeping watch over the property, and reminding me daily that she would rather be training than recovering.
