This is years of practice, proofing, getting comfortable with traffic, people, the environment, building patience and confidence to make better decisions. There are still days that your dog will react. They are a dog. If you can't sit ourside and just drink something while your dog watches the world, you are nowhere near this. Start smaller. Rome wasnt built on a day. Learning skills, coping, patience, it all takes practice. The next two videos will be good starting points!

A great way to teach kids (anyone) to engage with a dog a "touch" or Target" signal. So versatile and useful in many situations. Watch Hoku and an infant engage with no vocal or stress. Especially with a dog that wants to work the brain. Happy rewards!

We worked on sitting everywhere and 5 to 10 seconds of just holding it. These boys did great and were so fun to work with!

Loose leash walking is not just loose leash walking. It's about teaching your dog about their world, environment and how to relax in it. On top of what you would like them to do. Reactivity is actually pretty common, consistency, and patience will get you some great results.

Had to improvise on the walk but they had a lot of fun sniffing. Then some crate training and finally a nice LONG nap for 3 of the 4 of us on the walk.
