This is going to be so educational for anyone who loves the Brazilian Bull!
THE UNTOLD ORIGINS OF BRAZILIAN BULLS 🇧🇷 | The Dogs, Bloodlines & People Who Started It All
Before Brazilian Bulls became what we know today, there were a handful of passionate breeders, legendary dogs, and bloodlines that helped shape their development.
But how did it really begin?
This Thursday, Samba Kennels Family Live #30 takes you back to the early 2000s, when breeders in Southern and Southeastern Brazil were working to develop a new type of dog.
Join our special guests Rud Marcondes of Bully Academy and Lucas Selhorst of New Red Kennels for a historical conversation about the dogs, breeding decisions, imports, and challenges that influenced the Brazilian Bull movement.
We’ll explore the history of Red Demons, the early Pit Monsters, and legendary bloodlines and dogs, including Thor, Tyson, Foreman, Dynamic Dude, Chevy, Camelot, Remy Martin, Dax, Miagi, Phantom, and Hazard.
Hear firsthand accounts of the early breeding programs, the arrival of American Bullies in Brazil, and the 2011 Dax litter that Rud describes as a turning point.
Some of these stories go back more than 20 years. Some names you know. Others you may be hearing for the first time.
This isn’t just about dogs. It’s about the people, decisions, successes, and setbacks behind a breeding movement that continues to evolve today.
Whether you’re a Brazilian Bull breeder, owner, or simply passionate about the breed, this is a conversation you won’t want to miss.
