If you know anything about cats, it’s that they require CONSENT before being touched. (Coincidentally, when a person doesn’t like that cats require consent, it’s a red flag about that person). Anyway, with new or unfamiliar cats, it is imperative that you do the “Boop Test” before you try to pet them.

How to Boop Test: Offer a single finger pointing at their nose. If they want to be pet, they’ll rub on your finger showing you where it’s acceptable to pet them.

So, if they move their face over your finger and onto their cheek, you’ve passed the Boop Test and are now free to give some scritches on that cheek, and so on.

Miss Lacie and Gracie were drop-in clients who I had the great pleasure of visiting twice a day.

Known to be skittish around new people, it only took a few days before their human told me “they like you more than they like me.”

I’ve always said, there is no greater compliment than being accepted and loved by a cat.”

This is Shadow, one of the most photogenic cats I’ve ever had the privilege of spending time with. A recent drop-in client, Shadow’s drop-ins always lasted longer than their scheduled time because she was so hard to have to leave.

Meet Fig, a golden with a TRUE heart of gold. A current pet/house sitting client, Fig is a ball of love and emotion.

While she misses her humans, she certainly had no problem sharing a bed on her first night without them. 😂 She’s a good girl who would make ANY pet sitter wish every client could be as amazing as she is
