🚨 MORE THAN 100 DOGS. ONE MASSIVE DOGFIGHTING INVESTIGATION. SEVEN FEDERAL DEFENDANTS.

More than 100 dogs have been seized in Chesterfield County, SC in what has been described as the largest single-property dog seizure in South Carolina history.

According to the federal indictment, seven men allegedly bred, housed, and trained pit bull-type dogs for fighting between 2019 and 2026. Investigators reportedly found equipment and evidence consistent with a dogfighting operation—including treadmills, heavy chains, weighted collars, breeding stands, medications, pedigrees, and carpeting containing canine blood.

Approximately 77 dogs were seized from one property.

The defendants include a former Chesterfield County sheriff’s deputy. The seven defendants are facing federal charges.

DOGFIGHTING DOES NOT BELONG TO ONE COMMUNITY, ONE INCOME LEVEL, OR ONE TYPE OF PERSON. IT CROSSES SOCIOECONOMIC LINES. It is organized cruelty wherever it occurs.

These dogs cannot report their abuse. We have to.
