716 PAWS Saving lives, one bark at a time. Rescuing, rehabilitating, and finding forever homes for dogs. We help both local and out of state animals find homes.

716 Paws is a group of avid animal advocates who knows its our responsibility and passion to help both families and animals find their perfect match. We are a volunteer-based animal rescue group founded to facilitate the placement of animals into their best-matched forever home. Our goal is to reduce the overall euthanasia rate amongst canines and to give both dog and human alike a forever compani

on. Transitioning to life with a new dog can be challenging for an owner, and in the same respect, transitioning to a new home can be challenging for an animal. This is why 716 Paws offers programs for adoption-adaptation. We work tirelessly to make sure that each dog’s new home is their forever home.

Honey is as sweet as her name 🍯🐾

This tiny mini poodle mama spent her early years in a puppy mill, but you’d never know it by the way she loves. Honey is a total cuddle bug who just wants to be close to her people. She’s currently living with three other dogs and a cat and fits right in with her little crew.

Honey does have a limp from an old injury she suffered before rescue, but it doesn’t slow her down one bit. With her daily medication, she happily runs around the yard and keeps up with everyone else just fine. Her medication costs are estimated to run about $50–100 per month.

She’s still learning potty training and does well using puppy pads in between outside breaks. More than anything, Honey is looking for a soft place to land, lots of love, and someone who understands that the sweetest souls sometimes come from the hardest beginnings 💛

Introducing Aurora! ✨

She is as sweet and loving as she is beautiful! Aurora loves to snuggle, give and receive kisses and has started to learn how to have fun with toys. Zoomies in a fenced in backyard is a favorite past time, along with being with her human. She is curious and smart and just a joy.
Crate trained, but loves to sleep with her family at night with no potty accidents. Aurora is trying hard to understand house training; she is doing good with p*e pads and has gone outside.
Dog and kid friendly. Cats unknown. Just starting to work with leash training.

Angel is a sweet girl who is starting to realize the world can be a really beautiful place. She came from a chaotic home in Kentucky where she lived with many other dogs while raising her two puppies, but now that she’s safe in a loving foster home, her personality is beginning to shine.
Angel is gentle, curious, cautious, and incredibly loving. She’s house trained, loves curling up in a soft bed (yours or hers), doesn’t chew on things she shouldn’t, and has no need for a crate. She also coexists well with cats.
She can be shy with new people and unfamiliar situations, and some everyday things still make her nervous, like leashes or going through the door to outside. A home with a fenced yard is a must and children old enough to understand dog manners would be best. But….. once Angel learns she can trust you, you will have a loyal companion for life.
