ACDC Rescue brings in strays, animals from owners and shelters in the Philadelphia region – locally! We take both healthy animals as well as at-risk or urgent animals at shelters that may have broken limbs or infections. Every animal undergoes an initial vet exam, Felv/FIV/HW testing (cats), receive microchips, age appropriate vaccinations and spay/neuter. Treatment for additional medical conditions is required for nearly 60% of our rescued animals, including many urgent or at risk animals.

Meet Bay! This beautiful gray and white tabby is the perfect mix of playful and affectionate. She loves spending her days running, playing with toys, and exploring her surroundings. Once she’s had her fun, Bay is ready to slow down and soak up your attention. She enjoys being petted and will happily spend time by your side, making the most of every cuddle and scratch. With her sweet personality and playful spirit, Bay is sure to bring love, laughter, and companionship to her forever home. I will need to be adopted with one of my siblings or other young feline friend.

Join us in saving lives by socializing and preparing kittens and cats for their forever homes! It’s an incredibly rewarding experience!

Our adoption centers are open seven days a week, and we need wonderful volunteers like you to help! Current available shifts include mid-day Wednesday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday.

Meet Ophelia! Sweet, gentle Ophelia is an orange girl with a heart full of love and a disposition to match. She’s affectionate and easygoing, happily soaking up pets and attention and giving back plenty of purrs in return. She may be a little dreamy, but this girl knows exactly where she wants to be — curled up close to someone who adores her. When Ophelia was very small she got a virus. Luckily she got the treatment she needed and now is ready for adoption.

Ophelia loves to play and has a curious, lively side, stuffed mice are her favorite! She loves to play fetch! She’s friendly and warm with everyone she meets.

Ophelia is bonded with her sister Opalite, a beautiful buff girl who shares her sweet nature. They would do best adopted as a pair in a quieter environment.
