25 years later, and September 11th still carries a heaviness that words don’t quite touch. 🇺🇸
I was young when 9/11 happened, but I’ll never forget the fear, the sadness, and the way our country seemed to come together afterward. For a little while, it didn’t matter who you were, what you believed, or where you came from. We were simply Americans standing beside one another.
As I’ve gotten older, become a wife, a momma, and built this little business of mine, I think about that day differently. I think about the parents who never came home, the children who grew up without them, the spouses who never got another goodbye, and the first responders who ran toward something everyone else was running from.
Today, I hope we remember more than the tragedy. I hope we remember the unity, the compassion, and the way people showed up for complete strangers.
Life is short. Love your people. Be kind. Give a little more grace than you think someone deserves.
And never forget. 🇺🇸
