Drug resistance is one of the biggest hidden problems in FIP treatment today. An increasing number of cats on oral treatment alone develop resistance mid-treatment. The protocol gets extended, dosage goes up, and the cost follows. What should be 84 days can become 120 or more.

Cure FIP solved this by applying the same principles used in human viral therapies — use multiple antivirals to prevent the virus from adapting. One capsule now contains two compounds working differently to stop FIP viral replication simultaneously.

84 days is not enough for the FIP virus to adapt to 2 potent antivirals at once.

Dr. Niels Pedersen of UC Davis has advocated for this combination approach since 2022. In the summer of 2025, Cure FIP ran the first clinic trial with 46 cats in Malaysia — real world results confirm his theory.

Cure FIP is the first to bring this combination therapy to market.

They told you FIP was a death sentence. That was before GS-441524. Your cat's story isn't over.

FIP is a progressive disease. The longer treatment is delayed, the more the virus replicates and damages your cat's organs. Studies show that cats who begin GS-441524 treatment early have significantly higher remission rates. If your cat has been diagnosed, every day counts.

After FIP, it turns out Feline Calicivirus (FCV) is another virus many cat parents may encounter.

Most people only hear about FCV when their cat starts sneezing, eating less, or seeming low on energy. In reality, FCV is a fairly common virus in cats. Early signs can appear mild and often resemble a typical cat flu. That’s why FCV is sometimes overlooked in the beginning. Every cat responds differently—some improve with monitoring, while others may need closer veterinary attention.

The key is not to panic, but also not to delay. Early awareness helps cat parents make calmer, more informed decisions.

If you’re unsure about your cat’s condition, you can book a FREE consultation with CureFIP for guidance on appropriate care and next steps—always alongside your veterinarian.

Why is FIP often discovered late? 😿

Because in the early stages, FIP looks almost identical to common illnesses — fever, appetite loss, lethargy, and weight loss. Most cat parents don’t realize it’s serious until the symptoms continue to get worse.

If your cat has been unwell for a long time and isn’t responding to treatment, don’t wait. Early testing can make a huge difference — and today, FIP is treatable, with thousands of cats fully recovered. 💛

If your cat is diagnosed with FIP, you don’t have to face it alone. Contact CureFIP™ for a FREE consultation — we’ll guide you through your cat’s full 84-day recovery journey.
