Wowzers! It always makes me nervous when people order zebra angels from the Philippines. They are usually kinda stressed at best. This week was an exception. We received a few of the nicest ones I’ve ever seen from anywhere. The worst one was probably a 1A on my all-time rating scale. The video shows the first one I saw, and it was the second best of the 4 that came in yesterday. The females, Japanese swallows, can run a little hit and miss. Sometimes they’re good and sometimes they aren’t. This week, they were as good as the males, and all were really good size, too. I’ve always had a real fondness for this fish. One of the first angels I kept back in the 70s was a Japanese swallow. I always loved that fish. I paid $32.99 for it back in the days when I was making $3.35/hour so you can tell how much I liked them. And since they’re Genicanthus, they’re a great addition to reef aquariums since they feed primarily on plankton. If you want to try some of these, this might be a good week to order. Sales to wholesalers and retailers only. Sorry for the crappy phone video in low light, which caused the focus to go in and out.
