Mama Maisey 🤍

Look at her…After everything she’s been through — raising five babies in tough conditions, fighting a painful eye infection — all she wants is love.

And she gives it so freely.

Leaning in. Trusting. So gentle and affectionate.

Duckie, Oink, Moo, Neigh, and Chickpea are all finding their homes…

Now it’s Mama Maisey’s turn.

Her turn for soft beds.
For quiet.
For someone to love her back the way she’s always loved others. 🤍

Dale update… with his personal nurse 🖤

Dale is doing amazing and even enjoyed a little cone-free time — grooming himself and soaking up all the tickles.

Blizzard, meanwhile, has taken on full-time “nurse” duties… staying close and somehow always knowing exactly where Dale needs a little extra care.

It’s pretty special to watch 🤍
(And we’re starting to think these two might be meant to stay together…)

Update: Marguerite has entered the milk bar… and she means business. 🩷

Look at this tiny girl diving right in with her new siblings—Tidbit, Cheeze-It, and Vesper—like she’s always belonged.

And this incredible mama?
She didn’t hesitate. Not for a second.

Four babies, one heart, and a whole lot of love to give… even if her paws are officially full now.

We’re still in awe of her.

PS: We can’t keep calling her just “Mama”… this angel deserves a name as special as she is.

She was left behind… but not for long. 🩷

Over the weekend, a mama cat moved her newborns to what she thought was a safe place—a quiet schoolyard. But when Monday came, the world got loud. students, noise, movement… too much. As she moved them to safety, one tiny baby was left behind.

We truly believe mama tried to come back for her. She just couldn’t.

As the day came to an end, we made the call to bring the kitten in… and take a chance on something special.

We introduced her to a nursing mama we rescued just two weeks ago, along with her three newborns.

We placed the tiny tabby girl in the crate…She sniffed around…Found a nipple…

And mama let her nurse. Just like that. No hesitation. No fear. Just love.

The students who found her named her Marguerite—after the patron saint who founded and watches over their school, Notre Dame Academy. 🩷

It took a village to make this moment possible—huge thank you to Carmine, the students Mrs. Jaenicke, and Scott for being part of her story.

Because of this incredible mama—and because someone cared enough to make that first call—this little life was saved.

Now, our beach mama is raising not just her three babies…but one tiny tabby girl too.

Dale is hurting… and he doesn’t understand why.

Right now, he’s trying to escape the pain the only way he knows how — by attacking his own tail.

He had his home. He was safe. He was loved.
Then a sudden tail injury changed everything.

After surgery to remove the tip of his tail, we hoped it would be enough.....It wasn’t.

Now Dale is living with ongoing pain — likely nerve or phantom pain — and is reopening his wound again and again, just trying to make it stop.

After consulting with a new surgeon, we finally have a solution:

🖤 Dale needs a full tail amputation.

This will take away his pain and give him the chance to heal — and live a full, happy life (just with a little bobtail).

Despite everything… he still purrs.
He still leans in. He still trusts.

We’re a small rescue, and we can’t do this alone.

🥪Deli is off duty… permanently.

After running her NYC deli — greeting customers, keeping watch, and charming everyone who walked through the door — Deli has officially hung up her apron.

No more shifts.
No more long days on deli floors.

This NYC girl is heading to Brick, NJ to begin her retirement — filled with sunbathing, lounging, playing, and all the love she could ever want.

From deli floors to beach-town bliss — we couldn’t be happier for you, sweet girl

Annie update...Our sweet senior girl gave us a little scare, but she seems to have found a bit of her bounce again.

Still scruffy.
Still moving slowly.
Still pure love.

At Annie’s age, every good day feels like a gift… and today we’re grateful for this one.
