🗣 Can we have your attention plaweze....

🥹 We have a pupdate here at wags. Do we all remember the "Courthouse Dog" Berto?... Well Bert was developing a lump on his behind. Which was making it uncomfortable for bert to sit and lay down. He was crying a lot so we scheduled an appointment with our good friends at Ivy Pets - Midwood, Brooklyn Full Pet Service because berto was referred to a specialty surgeon. It turns out Berto needs a double soft tissue perennial hernia operation with a neuter. We keep taking in these paw souls, but we are lacking in donations. We spent 200.00 with this exam and an estimated 2,500 for the surgery. We are asking our supporters more than ever to come together for this boy who has obviously been neglected for too long now!! We have to get bert to feel better, we have to show him that humans will not let him suffer in pain any longer!!💔

Berto's surgery is on Tuesday the 22nd. If you can find it in your hearts to give even a dollar to help berto on his way to a new life without pain. Plaweze consider a small amount...
We can not do it without your suppawrt and we still have kimchi the westies spay day next week as well. We are in a financial downfall at the moment and despawrately need YOU ❤️‍🩹

💖 A lil' Freya Friday Facts 4 ya....

This little dumplin' was brought to the NYPD 120 after her owner had passed and left with the son who found himself arrested with statements from witnesses that poor Freya was being kicked and beaten with a MUZZLE on! The 120 brought this lil scared lady to the acc., they adored Freya so one of the officers reached out to wags with a pawlea to go get her out.....

And we did♥︎
... Since than this gal has been learning to trust again. Although Freya takes a bit of time to get used to you, once she does expect a sudden jump in your lap for a kiss and some cuddles. Eager to go for walks and most happy to sit next to you in a patch of grass or even on a park bench!
So silly at 3 years old. She has all her true "bulldog" quirks with a snort or a roll to rub her belly. This gal is looking for her furever pal!

📝 Lil' Miss Freya would do best in an adult household with no other pets. She needs time to know you. So she does need slow introductions right now.

📣 Calling All Dog Lovers!!!

😰 Here at wags we have been super busy and we are becoming busier by the day! The PAWPHANS need a day pal and that could be you! We have different dogs for different types of folks!

🫧 Bubbles is a laid back, hug stealin' pitpopotamus! Bubbles would rather stroll taking in all that surrounds her. Taking a roll in the grassy patches every now and again. Or to lay next to you on a pic-nic blanket and just enjoy the company.

💥EeVee is a lil' firecracker! Eager to learn, smart as a whip and a gorgeous beauty for a day of fun and photo ops! Hiking, track, long walks on the beach. This is the gal fir you to pal around with!

🤎 Berto the sweet puptart. This guy will love to just be with a furend. Berto is versatile he can run and jump with the best of them but this handsome pup loves to kick back in someone's lap for a full session of belly rubs.....

This is just 3 of the many pawphan's here at wags and they ALL would love for you to come on down and help us out!

Today, we want to give a huge THANK YOU to two pawtastic groomers, Katie and Chilly, who came to the rescue for this sweet little girl and gave her the much-needed grooming makeover she deserved. ✂️🛁✨

We truly could not do what we do without the incredible volunteers who generously dedicate their time, talent, and resources to helping the dogs at Wags. Their kindness makes such a difference in the lives of our rescue pups, and we are endlessly grateful. ❤️

This precious girl is feeling so much better after her relaxing spaw day and is ready to enjoy this beautiful day feeling clean, comfortable, and loved. 🐶🌸☀️

🐾💕 Now comes the fun part… this sweet girl needs a name! 💕🐾

We were planning on dropping this news on 6/1, but between a new incoming pawphen just yesterday, Diamond’s same day spay and adoption, and the search and rescue mission for Lulu, we got a little sidetracked. ✨

🚨 Pawphan Emergency:

Today we received a call that a dog was tied outside of Forest Animal Hospital. It was very early in the morning as the morning day had just begun:

📲 Phone Rings: "Hello, yes we just saw a woman tie a dog outside the vet office and we are neighbors. We tried to yell out that the vet was closed but she kept going! What can we do?"....
So wags reached out to the staff at 8am and they spung out of their morning "get myself together" routine and ran to make sure this furbabe was SAFE!
The office staff has ran to this girl in need. Dr. V did not turn this furbabe away or send her to the acc. He cared for her, as a good vet should.

This little lady is approximately 3 years old and JUST had puppies. Still lactating, but no babies. Horrible teeth from neglect, severe matting and horrible allergies 😢

Today she was treated for:
Allergies and had a shot of apoquel. She had bloodwork and heartworm test.

❤️‍🩹 UNPAWRTUNATELY this is not the end for this tiny tot, she will still need:
Spay, Shots, Dental and Grooming....

Plaweze, we have taken in, saved, homed, searched and caught a lot of dogs in the short time we have been open and we want to continue to do just that for these poor pawphan's
We run on kind hearts and donations. We are palways so gratefu for anything that keeps us in action 🙏🏽
