As someone who is highly allergic to poison ivy, I love the idea of this spray which would reveal the presence of the urushiol oil which causes the rash! I always stay far away from poison ivy but many summers, I seem to catch it from petting dogs who have played in it. This spray would be a lifesaver for me!

It's about time! A registry for convicted animal abusers! If this legislation passes, New York City would become the largest jurisdiction to establish an animal abuse registry. This registry would require pet stores and shelters to check the registry before the animal is released to the prospective home. The goal is to reduce the number of abused animals and limit the ability of animal abusers to commit offenses in the future. Previously, legislation like this has been difficult to pass because of costs. Perhaps fund raising efforts coupled with large fines for convicted animal abusers would help fund this essential bill?!
