Suffolk police tell News 12 they got a call Monday night, but they saw no bear in sight when they got to the scene.

Though the Sow bears did not need to den due to the mild weather, they did have their cubs so please be extra careful when driving in wooded areas. Little cubs are like bad toddlers and we need to protect them.

Thank God NY does not have a spring bear season. These majestic animals can relax until next October. maybe we can stop this murderous sport by then.

Another season set to start here on Long island. Such a small population resides here. Despite the claims of officials that this is a management hunt, it's nothing more than blood thirsty trophy killers. Time to organize
