🎒🐾 The Kids Are Going Back to School… Maybe It’s Time for the Dog to Go, Too!

New backpacks, new teachers, new routines—and maybe some new manners for your four-legged family member! 🐶📚

If your dog could use a little “schooling” when it comes to barking, jumping, pulling on the leash, coming when called, or listening around distractions, now is the perfect time to work on better behavior.

With Bark Busters, your dog doesn’t even need a backpack—we bring the training right to your home! 🏠🐾

While the kids are learning reading, writing, and arithmetic, your dog can work on listening, manners, and good choices. ⭐

Make this school year a fresh start for everyone!

🚪 Does your dog go into full chaos when the doorbell rings?

Barking, jumping, and rushing the door don't have to be the norm. With the right training, your dog can learn to stay calm and wait politely when guests arrive.

Front door manners aren't about stopping your dog's excitement—they're about building confidence, clear communication, and trust. A calm greeting creates a safer, more enjoyable experience for everyone.

Ready to replace front-door mayhem with calm, confident behavior? Bark Busters can help!

One of my favorite things about dog training is showing owners that age is never a barrier to success. 🐶❤️

One of the biggest myths I hear is, "My dog is too old to learn." The truth? Dogs are lifelong learners. Whether your dog is 8 months or 8 years old, they can develop new habits, build confidence, and learn better ways to respond to the world around them.

Training isn't about teaching endless tricks—it's about creating better communication between you and your dog. When you provide clear leadership, consistency, and guidance, your dog understands what's expected of them, and that's when real transformation happens.

I've had the privilege of helping senior dogs overcome years of barking, leash reactivity, separation anxiety, and other challenging behaviors that their families thought would never change. Watching those dogs—and their owners—gain a new sense of confidence is one of the most rewarding parts of what I do.

It's never too early to start training, and it's never too late to make a positive change. Every dog deserves the chance to succeed, no matter their age.

If you're trying to prevent puppy potty accidents, keep this rule of thumb in mind: puppies can hold their bladder for about one hour longer than their age in months.

These are 6 crucial times to think about potty breaks:

✔️ As soon as they wake up
✔️After a daytime nap
✔️After you return home from an outing
✔️After a lot of playing
✔️After eating
✔️ Before going to bed for the night

Dogs can over-react to normal, every day activities... like fictional, animated dogs on your TV 😑 📺 . When your dog responds in a way that brings chaos or frustration to your house, it's time to get professional training. Bark Busters certified dog trainers come to your home for personalized training to help your dog change their behavior.

One of the biggest misconceptions about dogs is that unwanted behaviors are simply "bad habits." More often than not, they're a dog's way of telling us they're feeling uncertain, overwhelmed, or anxious.

Helping families recognize what's really driving their puppy's behavior is one of the most rewarding parts of my job. When we reduce stress and build confidence through clear communication and leadership, we don't just improve behavior—we help dogs feel more secure, enjoy life more fully, and strengthen the bond they share with their families.

I'm grateful to have been part of this puppy's journey and look forward to watching her confidence continue to grow. Thank you for trusting Bark Busters North Brooklyn & Queens with your newest family member! 🐾💙

🤫 "Shhh!" isn't in your dog's vocabulary.

If your dog is barking, yelling "Shhh!" or "Quiet!" often just sounds like you're joining the conversation. 🐶😂

Dogs bark for a reason—whether it's excitement, fear, boredom, or feeling responsible for protecting the house. The key isn't getting louder... it's helping them understand they don't have to bark in the first place.

Ready to replace the barking chorus with some peace and quiet? Bark Busters can help. Call your local Bark Busters trainer today!

Do dogs have a "dominant paw?" 🐾
🥁
Just like humans are right- or left-handed, dogs often favor one paw over the other. So the real question is: do you think YOUR dog is right- or left-handed? 🤔
