Homemade Jam Band
With an extensive solo career and the experience of many live performances both solo and with a band, Rick M
oreno is still doing what he loves making music. People seem to want to know how we got our name "The Homemade Jam Band"; well we do have a few homemade/original songs and we do love to jam so it just seemed to fit. Along the way Rick has met and had the
pleasure of performing with many very talented musicians. Rick is also involved in another music project "The American Pink Floyd Experience". This is a Pink Floyd tribute band out of the Detroit area. With the attention to detail and caliber of musicians this tribute band is second to none. You can catch them on the web at www.americanfloyd.com. You can also check out a music video:

Music is where it is at for Rick. Live music is what it is all about. The pure joy of performing is why he does it. Rob Gallardo
Lead Guitar•
Homemade Jam Band
Being a lifelong native and a GM veteran, Rob Gallardo has been around music all of his life. The building blocks of Rob's impressive and unique guitar style began with Rob's father, Raymond Gallardo, who was an extremely accomplished guitarist in his own right. Many tips and techniques were passed on from father to son. Rob's musical interests include icons like Eric Clapton, Carlos Santana, and David Gilmour of Pink Floyd. Mexican music, blues and rock and roll are all there in his heart, and he is happiest when he is playing it LIVE!!!! Rick McKee
Drummer•
Homemade Jam Band
If you think you know something about Rock and Roll music trivia, Rick McKee will help you remember what you thought you knew about the music scene.Go ahead, try and stump him! Rick's musical journey began in 1964 when at the tender age of 6 his father turned on the TV to watch The Beatles on the Ed Sullivan Show,
and he immediately became a crazed rock fan! Rick has been playing drums since 1969. When asked what he likes most about music Rick McKee will reply, "Well that’s easy. I love to play music live! I’m a musician. It’s what I believe I was born to do”. As his friend and band mate, I truly believe that as well. Rick is the kind of drummer that makes cover songs easy. Whether it’s finding the right groove for some new original material or on stage improves, he’s always on the mark. Divorced & single Rick was born in Flint Mi. in 1958. He grew up in the Clio area. Rick is the proud father of his 9-year-old son Nicolas. Rick McKee (a.k.a. Turd Ferguson) started playing in bands in the 70’s The Syndicate, The Prisoners in the 80’s, The Dave’s in the 90’s, and The Belt Band with Rick Moreno & Bugzy Knickerbocker in 00’s. Rick is very meticulous about his drums tuning and tone. It’s not uncommon to see him moving mic’s tuning or changing drumheads between sets. One weekend at Joe’s Garage, we setup and played Friday night, he called me about 3:oo Saturday afternoon. Said he wasn’t happy with his kit, and would I meet him at the club. We loaded his kit up and took them to trade off on a new kit he had his eye on. Did the deal, and now he’s been like a kid in a candy store ever since, behind that new kit. Rick's musical influences run the whole spectrum of Rock and Roll, and says Homemade Jam is a good fit. Rick says," If you need to know more about me, drag your ass to one of our shows and I'll be glad to have a chat with you." Bugsy Knickerbocker
Bass Guitarist & Vocals•
Homemade Jam Band
To tell you all I know about the enigma that is Bugsy Knickerbocker our bassist would take too long. So what I'll try to do is just touch on things chronologically. He was born in Louisville Kentucky in 1958. By 6 years of age he had already played his first concert at the old IMA Auditorium in downtown Flint Michigan. His musical foundation began in
gospel music. He toured across the mid west in a greyhound bus for 6 years, singing harmony and playing guitar, bass guitar, violin and most anything that makes music. He has played The Whiting Auditorium and many large venues county fairs and festivals around the country, as well as The Clio Amphitheater. He's also shared the stage with gospel acts like The Calvrymen, Sammy Hall, and The Bill Gaither Trio. To date, as you can see when we play Bugsy Knickerbocker is a very talented individual, an accomplished singer/songwriter and a gifted musician. We are proud to have him with us in Homemade Jam. He kinda likes us too.
