This has been a bad summer for SNAKEBITE! 4 dogs 6 bites.If you live in the south copperhead s are like the weather you can complain but you can't change it. Be prepared most bites are defensive low volume bites to extremities. I have a kit consisting of benadryl, tramadol & antibiotics. 1 benadryl for 35 lb dog 50mg Tramadol & any good broad spectrum antibiotic twice a day. recovery in 3-5 days. This should not be considered medical advice. I am relating what has worked for me this summer. None of my dogs experienced labored breathing, shock or necrosis at the wound.

"Curly" the 2 year old sire of my 2019 litter was braced with my 2 year old "Mister" out of Molly X Tebow in the Open Gundog Stakes at DiLane Plantation in GA. unfortunately neither placed in the money. Thanks again to handler Ben Lorenson for his work with Mister. Wish i could have been there.
