- November = peak rut season (bucks chase does recklessly)

WHY IT'S DEADLY:
Before: You drive home at 5pm in daylight
After: You drive home at 5pm at dusk (my peak movement time)

Your schedule didn't change. The light did.

SURVIVAL RULES:
✓ Slow down 5-10mph on rural roads (5-8pm)
✓ One deer = 5 more coming (we travel in groups)
✓ DON'T SWERVE—brake straight, stay in lane
✓ Scan tree lines constantly
✓ High beams in rural areas (off when cars approach)
✓ Honk if you see me—sound breaks freeze response

DON'T:
✗ Flash high beams at me (I freeze)
✗ Speed through wooded areas at dusk
✗ Assume I won't cross busy roads (I don't know what "roads" are)

REMEMBER:
"It's not the deer crossing the road—it's the road crossing the forest."

You built highways through my territory. I'm following 10,000-year-old migration routes. I don't see lanes or speed limits. I see food, mates, and predators.

November = mating season + hunting season = I'm running scared and distracted.

I don't want to die.
You don't want a totaled car.
