WAIVED ADOPTION FEE- CLEAR THE SHELTER

Somebunny needs a home! Or in this case, some bunnies, plural! Two to be exact. Introducing Saturn, a 2-year old, 3-pound white female rabbit, along with her boyfriend Diglett, a 4-year old, 3-pound white-and-brown rabbit.

As a bonded pair, Saturn and Diglett are inseparable and fully committed - to each other, to snack time, and to being the cutest roommates you’ll ever have. They’ve mastered the art of cuddling, they love being pet, they adore kids, and they’re surprisingly tolerant of dogs…as long as the dogs don’t come on too strong and frighten them. And guess what? They’re even litter-box trained!

These playful bunnies like toys, spending time outside, and munching on tasty treats. Diglett is a bit more outgoing than Saturn, but Saturn is always the first to hop over for a snack. They’re both ridiculously soft, SUPER affectionate, and not at all fearful of new places or unfamiliar people.

As with most loving couples, Saturn and Diglett enjoy lounging side by side, sharing food, grooming each other, napping together, and reminding you that everything is better in pairs.

If you’re looking for double the love and twice the personality, these two are ready to hop into your heart…and possibly your snack drawer! ;-)

Adorable, energetic, and sweet, Widow is a 12- week old, 12- pound Heeler/Lab mix who is quickly learning proper puppy manners, and wowzers, what a smart cookie this girl is! Widow is a big fan of treats, she sits on command, and she pays close attention to whatever you are saying when food is involved.

Still too young for leash walks, Widow is reliably pad-trained for now. She is completely calm while traveling around in her puppy sling, and she seems to welcome fun and adventure. As soon as she’s old enough, Widow will be up for anything! Hello world, here I come!

Widow is friendly toward all humans and all dogs. She loves being pet, and belly rubs are always welcome. Widow never met a toy she didn’t like, and she has a remarkable ability to self-entertain with one of her many hardy chew bones. She also sleeps through the night like a dreamboat.

If you’re in the market for a promising young pup, Widow would make a fabulous addition to any active, loving home.

Oh dear…he’s here…a tiny dude named Schmear! This 4-month old ‘lil nugget is softer than a blob of cream cheese and sweeter than a cinnamon bagel! But please don’t eat him; he only accepts cuddles and caresses!

Schmear gets along fabulously with dogs, cats, and all forms of human life. He loves furry toy mice, springs, balls, and anything he deems swat-able. Watching him play is like watching a comedy film for free. Schmear sure knows how to provide entertainment.

When Schmear isn’t busy scampering around the house, he can often be found crashed out on the couch. Basically, he has two sp*eds: On and off. Schmear is a very social kitten who will follow his people around the house, and even meow at them, if say, they’re in the bathroom or shower.

When it comes to affection, Schmear is a master. You can pet him, cuddle with him, scratch him, massage him, or pick him up, and he’s all yours. This well-adjusted boy is fully litter-box trained, a sound sleeper, and excellent napper, and a good eater. He’s just the best, and he will bring joy to any home!

Meet Blueberry! 🫐💙

Is there anything sweeter than a puppy with a speckled little nose, floppy ears, and enough personality to know she’s the prettiest girl in the room? We don’t think so!

Blueberry is an adorable 3-month-old Border Collie/Hound mix who is equal parts beauty, brains, and puppy charm. This confident little lady loves to prance around with her head held high, fully aware that she is absolutely gorgeous—and honestly, can you blame her? Just look at that face!

But Blueberry is so much more than a pretty face. She’s sweet, loyal, playful, and always ready for whatever fun comes next. She loves people, other dogs, toys, treats, cuddles, and pets—basically, if it brings her joy, she’s all in!

Blueberry has the perfect amount of puppy energy. She’s playful and energetic, but also loves cuddling up with her humans when it’s time to recharge. She’s already house-trained and puppy-pad trained, travels well, and has no problem sharing her toys or treats.

She’s still a baby and hasn’t learned any formal commands just yet, but she’s ready to soak up everything her forever family has to teach her!

She’s not quite ready for big leash adventures yet, but this little girl is ready to explore the world one puppy step at a time. She may give a bark when she’s playing or gets startled, but otherwise, she’s just a happy little pup living her best life.

Blueberry is beautiful and she knows it—but luckily, her sweet personality and loyal heart are just as stunning as her adorable face.

Meet Andromeda! 🌙

This beautiful 8-month-old, 7-pound Bombay mix may be small, but Andromeda—affectionately known as Andi—has plenty of personality!

Andi is a sweet and loving girl who enjoys a good chin scratch and head pets, but she’s also an independent lady who likes affection on her own terms. She’ll happily curl up next to you in the morning, and she’s a big fan of sleeping in—making her the perfect companion for anyone who doesn’t want to be woken up at the crack of dawn by a demanding breakfast crew!

Andi is playful and can entertain herself for hours. She has never met a cat teaser she didn’t love and will happily chase and play, whether you’re holding it or have it attached to a wall or door handle. She’s also great with other cats and enjoys wrestling, playing tag, or simply curling up nearby for a nap.

Andi is not a fan of dogs. She isn’t one to run away, though—she’ll happily let them know she’s the boss! For that reason, she’d probably do best in a dog-free home.

Andi is gentle and patient with her people, even during carrier time or nail trims, and her foster hasn’t seen any aggression toward humans.

If you’re looking for a playful, sweet, and independent little companion who can entertain herself but will still curl up beside you for some quality time, Andi may be your perfect match!

Meet Hop!

If you’re looking for a loyal sidekick who will happily join you on every adventure and then curl up beside you on the couch afterward, Hop is your guy! This adorable 4-year-old, 17-pound Chihuahua/Spitz mix is the perfect blend of playful, affectionate, and easygoing.

Hop is the definition of a velcro dog. He adores his people and always wants to be close by, happily following you from room to room as your faithful little shadow. Whether you’re relaxing on the couch, heading out for a walk, or running errands, Hop simply wants to be wherever you are.

One of Hop’s favorite things is exploring the world. He loves his daily walks, enjoys meeting new people and dogs along the way, and even rides like a pro in both the car and on the subway! He’s friendly with everyone he meets and is always happy to stop for a few pets from admirers.

At home, Hop has excellent manners. He’s house trained, walks beautifully on leash, sleeps soundly through the night in his own bed, and knows commands like sit, come, wait, and even recognizes when it’s time to head outside or settle down for bed. He’s also a smart little guy who learns routines quickly.

Hop enjoys the company of other dogs, especially smaller ones, but like many dogs, he appreciates having his own space during mealtime. With slow introductions and clear boundaries, he’s done very well living alongside both dogs and cats.

While Hop isn’t much of a toy enthusiast, he absolutely loves affection. Belly rubs, pets, cuddles, and quality time with his favorite humans are much higher on his priority list. He isn’t a big barker either, only speaking up to let you know it’s time to start the day or when he’s excited for his next walk.

Hop is a sweet, silly little dog with a wonderful balance of energy. He’s equally happy exploring the neighborhood or spending a quiet evening curled up beside you.

FOSTERS NEEDED FOR OUR AUGUST 29 TRANSPORT!

Our next transport arrives Saturday, August 29, and these pups need foster homes to make the trip to New York!

Every dog is eligible for our Foster-to-Adopt program! That means you can welcome a pup into your home and have until Friday, September 4 to decide if you’d like to make it official. It’s a great way to ensure it’s the right fit for everyone.

All of these dogs are reported to be friendly with other dogs.

Many of our smaller pups are from a recent hoarding case that our Tennessee rescue partner helped with. Despite their difficult start, they’ve been described as having wonderful temperaments and are ready for a fresh start.

Meet Salem!

Handsome, chatty, and just a tiny bit needy (but in the most lovable way!), meet Salem, a 2-year-old, 8.5-pound Bombay mix with striking golden eyes and a whole lot of personality. 🖤

Salem is a sweetheart who may be a little timid when he first meets you, but give him a little time to warm up and you’ll have a shadow following you around all day. Once Salem decides you’re his person, he wants to know what you’re doing, where you’re going, and—most importantly—why you’re not paying attention to him.

And yes, Salem has opinions. He’s loud, he’s vocal, and he isn’t afraid to ask for what he wants! Attention? He’ll let you know. Dinner? Definitely. Canned cat food? ABSOLUTELY. He may occasionally annoy those around him with his commentary, but his foster says he’s a total sweetheart underneath all that sass.

Salem gets along wonderfully with dogs, cats, and humans, making him a great option for a home with furry friends. He’s affectionate, social, and loves being part of the action. Once he’s comfortable, expect him to follow you around like your very own little black shadow.

If you’re looking for a cat who will actually talk to you, keep you company, and make sure you never feel lonely, Salem might just be your guy. He’s got the looks, the personality, and just enough attitude to keep life interesting.

Meet Gitzi, a 10-month old, 29-pound Husky/Shepherd mix, who is alert, adorable, and possesses the perkiest ears this side of the Mississippi. It kinda looks like she can fly! Who knows…maybe she can! ;-)

Friendly beyond belief, Gitzi knows no stranger. She greets anyone and everyone, and covers them in kisses. She’s the same way with other dogs. She wants to play with them all. Gentle, loving, and extremely sweet, it’s impossible to ignore this girl’s charisma. Gitzi is also very smart. She learned how to use p*e pads almost immediately, she’s starting to do her bathroom business outside, and she’s well on her way to being fully housebroken.

Gitzi can use some practice when it comes to her leash manners, but she’s making steady progress every day. she is responsive to correction and wants to earn your praise. And treats? Oh boy, food always gets her attention. She already sits on command!

For an active person, Gitzi would be a dream come true. This high energy gal can hike for miles without tiring, can trot alongside you while you jog, and can walk seemingly forever. She loves her toys, but does not engage in any resource guarding. She does beautifully when left alone, and you come back home, she is thrilled, but does not jump all over you.

As active as she is, Gitzi is an excellent sleeper as long as she’s had an adequate amount of exercise. She’s also very mushy, cuddly, and affectionate. She makes the absolute warmest, fuzziest, best snuggle-buddy! If you’ve got the time to walk her, run her around, and continue to train her, she will be the happiest, healthiest, best furry companion you can ever imagine having.
