Animal Care Centers of NYC (ACC)

Animal Care Centers of NYC (ACC) Animal Care Centers of NYC is the largest animal shelter in NYC! By participating on this page, you are agreeing to the terms outlined below.

Individuals from all over the city come to Animal Care Centers every day of the week for reasons as diverse as surrendering pets, reclaiming lost cats and dogs, and adopting new furry family members. We strive to find loving homes for homeless and abandoned cats, dogs, and rabbits, both by adopting animals directly to the public and by partnering with more than 200 dedicated animal placement organ

izations (our New Hope partners). Our field services division responds to calls from the public to help keep NYC communities safe and rescue animals in need, and we have facilities in all five boroughs. ACC Social Media Policy

Happy Foster Friday! Today we’re celebrating the end of the week with some adorable bonded cats living their best lives in foster homes.

These dynamic duos prove that two really is better than one. Adopting a bonded pair means bringing home twice the love, twice the purrs, and the joy of watching a special friendship continue to grow. Plus, they’ll always have a cuddle buddy when you’re away.

Ready to welcome a perfect pair into your family? Check out all of our available pets at nycacc.app.

Today we’re sharing CoCo’s Happy Tail! Formerly known as Rain, this sweet pup is thriving in her forever home.

Her adopter Danielle writes:

“Watching my rescue puppy, CoCo (formerly known as Rain at the time of adoption), settle into her new home has been one of the most rewarding experiences. Every day she becomes more comfortable, more playful, and more trusting, showing just how much love and patience can change a life.

From learning new routines to wagging her tail with excitement and finally feeling safe, she’s truly blossoming into the happy dog she was always meant to be. It’s amazing to see her personality shine brighter each day, and our home feels so much more complete with her in it.”

There’s nothing quite like watching a puppy discover that she’s finally home. We’re so happy to see CoCo growing into the confident, loved pup she was always meant to be.

Inspired by CoCo’s story? Visit nycacc.app to meet hundreds of pets waiting for their happy ending.
