Here’s my résumé:

Elite walker. Distance negotiable, enthusiasm non-negotiable.

Highly motivated by one tiny crumb of a treat.

My biggest project right now is learning to feel safe when I’m home alone. I’m making progress and need a patient family willing to support me while I build confidence.

I’m medium-sized, mostly ears, full of love, and I have a decent understanding of “sit.”

Rescue is run on receipts 😢

Milo came to us as an owner surrender, behind on his vaccines. We made sure he received them.

Cali arrived with pneumonia - multiple visits, medication, an overnight stay at our partner clinic. He made it. And, he has some good news to announce soon👀

Hunny came out of our over-capacity city shelter, Animal Care Centers of NYC (ACC) and visited our vet partners at Brilliant Veterinary Care - we wanted to rule out pneumonia after what we’d been through with Cali, and she’d come to us full of milk with no puppies anywhere. We had to know whether she was developing mastitis.

Bruce didn’t make it. We spent everything we had on him, and we’d do it again. Some dogs come to us too late, and they still deserve to spend their last days safe and loved by someone. Bruce did.

We’re volunteer-run and foster-based. Every day we’re asked to take in one more - from the shelters, from families out of options. The medical bills land on a very small group of people.

Let’s get Milo adopted!

Let's all welcome Hunny to the Good Life! 🧡

We met this lady at Animal Care Centers of NYC (ACC), and she made quite the impression - enough that, even though we only saw her through the bars of her kennel, we couldn't stop thinking about her. Thankfully, our foster Lobna offered to open her home to her.

As you can probably tell, Hunny likely had a litter of puppies left behind before she landed at the city shelter. Sadly, mama dogs are often abandoned this way - sometimes even before their puppies are fully weaned.

The good news? After all of that, Hunny is a total happy camper. So far, she's been friendly with people and other dogs, and even spent an afternoon watching a kitty through a glass door without batting an eye.

Update: After rallying after medical crisis, Kibou is available for adoption at Animal Care Centers of NYC (ACC). Huge shout out to the teams at the shelter who never gave up on her!

This handsome gentleman immediately caught our eye the moment we walked into the city shelter. If we’d had an open foster home, we would have nabbed him right there and kept one more kennel from filling up.

It was so hard to leave this wiggly boy behind.

No matter how much the staff try, a municipal shelter is a tough place for a dog to be: the noises, the smells, the limits of life in a kennel or pop-up crate.

Here’s the best part: fostering is free. The rescue covers everything your foster dog needs, including all medical care, food, and supplies. You just provide the love and a place to land. 💙

Welcome to the family, Milo!

Milo came to us because his family's life changed and they simply couldn't give him what he needed anymore. It's easy to judge from the outside - but after talking with them and offering support, we all agreed it was the right move for Milo. Rescue isn't just about the dogs; sometimes it's about helping the humans who love them make a hard decision with dignity. 💙

Now, onto the main event. Milo is a total hunk with the personality to match - a happy medium between championship lounger and full Fast & Furious mode (check out the video in the comments).

He's also quite the conversationalist and fluent in several dialects of Dog: the grumble, the whine, the sigh. A real chatterbox.
