Day two (feels like 5!) of the heatwave! Please follow these pet safety tips to keep your little best friend’s safe!

Today’s a “let’s look for shade” kind of day… keep walks all business 💩 if unable to find cool, shady spots… stay away from walking during the warmest parts of the day, think 2pm until 6 pm… stay hydrated and stay safe! (This goes for humans as well!)

It’s that time of year again! We’ve come to find in the last few months that our Darla is absolutely terrified of fireworks. It wasn’t always like this but maybe at the tender age of five she has a better idea of what seems dangerous? Needless to say tomorrow she will go for early walks, stay hydrated and the AC will be on in the house, the Tv, the radio, whatever we can provide to help her get through. She has some chewy calming treats that you can get from most pet stores..
When Mexico won the other night (congratulations!!! 🇲🇽) she happened to be in the backyard and fireworks started to celebrate-she tried to break through the door to get back inside (I was with her and got to her in seconds) if she had been alone I suspect she definitely would have broken down the door and possibly hurt herself! Please do not bring your dog outside for fireworks displays- it’s just not worth it!
More dogs are lost on July 4th than any other day of the year!

Sending much love to on the loss of his sweet boy Cyrus. He was such a wonderful pet and such a good boy- I’ll treasure my memories of time spent with him.. thank you for trusting me to care for him, he was a gentle giant and I loved being a small part of his world.

Cat/Mouse/Dog Day Afternoon And in the end the mouse survived and was last seen running towards 5th Avenue! No dogs, cats or thankfully mice were harmed during this video! #
