Ruckus, the Ghost Story is Adopted Ghost came to us in January of 2022. He was fostered in CT and adopted to a family in PA in September 2022. The Bull Terrier Rescue Mission, Inc.

The Mission, is dedicated to advocating for the health and welfare of unwanted, abused, or abandoned Bull Terriers in the United States. (BTR Mission/BTRM) is a 501c3 not for profit, all-volunteer, foster based organization dedicated to advocating for the health and welfare of unwanted, abused, or abandoned Bull Terriers. We work towards extracting them from their dire circumstances and placing th

em in homes where they can be evaluated, allowed to heal, and rehabilitated if necessary. BTRM works with animal shelters, rescue professionals, Bull Terrier owners, and veterinarians throughout the United States. If BTRM cannot provide direct support, cases are directed to appropriate organizations that can. In all cases, tireless work is gladly expended. The Bull Terrier Rescue Mission does not discriminate due to the age or health of its Bull Terriers. Professional veterinary care is provided – including spay/neuter – prior to matching each Bull Terrier with the right adoptive home. No animal is euthanized for need of medical care. That option only exists if the animal displays extreme threatening behavior towards humans, or if their health is unrecoverable. Ghost is still waiting! We are shocked how many times he’s let down by potential adopters who wanted him and then backed out.
The latest applicant didn’t want him because “he’s a mix” - honestly we think he’s just poorly bred but even if he is a mix he has a full bull terrier personality. And isn’t it about that personality that we all love the breed?
He is dog friendly with dogs his size and bigger. He has a prey drive so no small dogs, cats or critters. Ghosty is well managed on specific food and some anxiety meds and is a total snuggle bug who wants to play ball and just do all the young crazy bull terrier stuff.

Well today, this happened! And guess what happened next….

Since I’m the bestest boy, like I’ve been telling you, nothing happened. I just watched the neighbor cut his lawn while I waited for my foster mom to come fetch me for breakfast. I got lots of kisses for that.
